Although the woman that cut my daughter's hair was a sweetheart, she destroyed her hair. It was…read morehacked and I've never quite experienced anything like it in my life. I said something numerous times and every time she tried to rectify it, it got worse. We left extremely upset and had to desperately find someone to help repair the damage that was done. 4 separate salons were shocked at what was done and saddened to see that an additional 4 inches needed to be cut to try and salvage her hair. It was supposed to be cut just below her bust and is now between her shoulders and chest area. Her hair was to her belly initially. The other stylist working wasn't even paying attention to the rather heated argument that transpired and could not have cared less. I'm furious.

No longer a warm, separate establishment, but in a Miscellaneous Building with other salons under one roof - no water pressure, no more amenities, I.e. coffee, small snacks, privacy, and a warm feeling. Definitely downgraded but I just paid over $200 for partial highlights and hairstyle - bringing my own hair products as well. They will be losing msny customers - sad to say - as it's not the same quality since their move - nothing against the stylists -,they are still great - but not their new residence.

They will help you decide what you want to do if you're on the fence. They will give you alternatives if what you want is not totally within your "hair potential." If you want to chit chat, they will. If you don't, they don't force it. I've been seeing Jamie for quite a while now, and it's a great partnership. I come out looking better than I expected which isn't an easy feat at my age. She's earned my trust. It's best to call for an appointment because they are usually busy. But if you do walk in, it doesn't really matter who you get because the caliber of the stylists are high at Revelations. They carry decent product lines and my hair is always soft and shiny when I leave. I also make my home product purchases here because I can trust they are authentic. I have been to other salons in Philly that are also excellent, and I've paid a heckuva lot more for the services. I hate including this in my review, and it is one of the reasons I've parked my hair there, but I think they could charge more for their services and not lose a lot of clients. I'm lucky that they are pretty close to where I live...but they are worth the drive if that's not the case for you. Note: Don't be discouraged by my travel photos! It's hard to keep nice hair in some of my travel environments.
