This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon…read more DO NOT LET GINA OR TAMI TOUCH YOU. I went in for a simple highlight touch up. I should have been alarmed when Tami was telling Gina what to do when she was putting the color foils in my hair, and didn't know how to mix the color but I figured that Tami knew what she was doing and they surely wouldn't let someone do hair that didn't know how to. When it had finished processing and I had been blown dry I couldn't tell a difference from when I came in other than my blonde was now yellow and brassy. I still had the same amount of roots in my hair that were now more pronounced because they had changed color. Gina didn't tone my hair at all after either. She also mentioned that it probably messed up because I wasn't Mexican. That she had only done Mexican people's hair. Since I wasn't pleased Tami came over and said that she saw the problem and could fix it. I trusted her because I saw the woman before me leave that she had colored and it looked fine. Once she finished she dried my hair and turned me around. I was platinum blonde with orange hues. I have never cried so hard in my life. She said she thought it looked great. All I wanted was a touch up on my highlight. They turned me entirely platinum blonde. I ran out of there crying and went to go see the manager Joanne at their sister salon elements on Peggy road. When I got there she told me how sorry she was and offered to fix it right then. She mentioned that Gina was brand new that she had never let her do color before and she didn't know what she was thinking. I told her about the comment she made about the fact that I wasn't Mexican and she seemed to be extremely embarrassed. All she could do for me was put some toner on it and make me brunette until the following weekend because she wanted to let my hair rest. It made sense to me so I said okay. Feeling a little bit better with an appointment set for the following Saturday, I went home with brown hair, not at all what I wanted, but I didn't look like a circus person. Saturday came and on my way to my appointment I got a call from the salon cancelling my appointment because they decided to take another client instead. Didn't ask me to reschedule just said that I could not get in. This was 30 minutes before my appointment. I just waited and went to my usual girl here in Wisconsin. I will never go to another salon in New Mexico. Extremely unprofessional and just terrible stylists. Go at your own risk. Message me for before and after pictures.

My daughter got married last Sat. (Oct. 24, 2020). The location of Tiara's Hair Salon was near the…read morechurch and our home, and it was very reasonably priced. However, we knew nothing of this salon and took a risk for the big day. We were thoroughly pleased. I wasn't there, but I understand they served champagne for our daughter, the bridal party, the mother of the groom, and the sister-in-law of the bride. All had beautiful make-up and hair in time to get to the church. I sent extra food for the artists and for our group. Everyone said they had a great time, and they all looked just amazing! My daughter's Asian hair is very straight and fine, and it was amazing to see how it held. I did have to spray my Catwalk spray on a few strands that came down, but that held those strands for the wedding and reception. My daughter was so tired going in that morning, and I saw circles under her eyes, but she came out looking refreshed, beautiful, and actually stunning. Many said so. Thank you to all the ladies/artists who worked on the whole group! Well done!

i write this with a heart full of disappointment and tears in my eyes.  i console myself by saying…read more"it's only hair" and "this is only one among a lifetime of bad hair cuts".  i looked on yelp and the reviews said tiara was good with unruly curls.  i asked her when i made the appointment and she confirmed. when i sat in the chair i. showed her 2 pictures of me with my 2 previous hair cuts and told her i wanted the same; short in the front, long in the back, layers on the side.  she quickly glanced at the pictures and got to work on the fastest haircut i'd ever gotten.  when she was done i looked closer and noticed that it looked like she put a bowl over my head.  it was short in the back but all one length on the sides and definitely not layered on the sides or longer in the front.  i zoomed on on the photos and explained how the hair line sloped down to the chin and had layers on the sides. she was not interested. tiara's hair looks great.  straight haired customers came in after me very excited for their next hair cut with tiara.  i have no doubt she's good at cutting hair but definitely, absolutely not  hair like mine. i would've been happy to keep coming back and telling my friends but i'm still searching for who that's gonna be. EDIT: tiara read this post and offered to refund me so to her credit she did her very best to make it right. like i said, i'm not saying she's bad at what she does. i saw other pictures, i saw her other customers. they look great. my hair isn't a dumpster fire but a far cry fro what i asked for.
