Was recommended to go here by a friend. I went to Tiffani. Not the owner Kandie. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted and told her I wanted CHUNKY THICK highlights. The end result was tiny highlights and she didn't leave them in long enough to get the color I wanted. I paid 180 including tip. She didn't tell me until I was in her chair that it was cash or check only. So I pulled 180 out and asked for 15 dollars back and she supposedly didn't have any cash. So she got a 40 dollar tip. When I got home I finished drying my hair and was really upset at this point. I texted the owner and said she couldn't do anything that I needed to talk to Tiffani. So me and her go back and forth via text message and she tells me I am not getting any of my money back. I asked for at least half back to go towards getting it fixed and she said no. I made an appointment the next day to get it fixed with someone else. I texted Tiffani as I was getting it fixed and she still told me I wasn't getting any money back and didn't offer to fix it until she knew I was already getting it fixed by someone else. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience and I felt like she was being very unprofessional. I don't recommend going to her. 180 down the drain. The people at Shear Perfection are very professional and non-judgmental. Going to a makeup counter, hair salon or fashion store can be intimidating where people look you up and down and have a way of judging you by your appearance. I have to glam up when I work so on my days off I go natural. They give you the best advice for your hair type and products. Getting in is always a challenge for me with my job. At Shear Perfection they are very accommodating. I go to Tiffani. She does a great job on my hair and does exactly what I want. A couple of times I didn't like what my Idea was and she made the change and It was no problem. I know Tiffani is good because she cuts causiously and if there is something I don't like she will change it before it is too late! I just have to tell her. Tiffani is great because she takes her time to make sure I'm happy. There is a very positive energy at Shear Perfection and it is very important to me to be around positive people with good energy. The price at Shear Perfection is very reasonable and they take cash or check. Kandie has a good shop and lots of knowledge to share with you on products and great tips to help. I found Shear Perfection while looking for a place to get my hairstyled for my daughters wedding. I had pretty much given up on finding someone who could work with my curly hair and get me the style I wanted. But, for the wedding, I didn't really have a choice, I needed a haircut, so I thought I would try one more time to see if someone could not only cut my hair, but actually, give me the style I've been trying to get for the past few years. Their great open and friendly atmosphere made me feel welcome, and my hairdresser, Morgan, spent a lot of time talking to me to make sure that she understood exactly the look I wanted. She even consulted with the other hairstylists to see if they had ideas she didn't, that might work better to get the right look. One who also had, and understood very curly hair. Together they worked out a plan that would get the colors to show up the way I wanted. I have been trying for 3 years to find someone who could help me get the haircut and highlights the way I wanted it. It's a little more difficult with my hair because my hair is very curly, naturally, and the "chunky" highlights that I want, disappear a soon as my hair curls up. Shear Perfection and Morgan did it! When I was done with my hair, I settled in for a pedicure, scheduled a spray tan, an eye brow waxing, and a facial. I wanted to look my best at my daughters wedding in Florida! I am so happy I gave them a try. I'm so glad I don't ever have to worry about where to go or what to do when I when it's time for my next hairstyling appointment. read more
