(My son's wedding date was July 28th at Tre Posti St Helena.) I asked my soon-to-be daughter-in-law if I could pay to use services of her professionals, after the bridesmaids were all set. She said that there simply wouldn't be enough time, as the artists & stylists were also assisting her mother, aunts, grandmothers, etc. Stephanie however gave me a great piece of advice "You will only be a MOG (Mother of the Groom) once, so you won't regret it if you hire someone to look your best!" I began searching Yelp for the St Helena area, and after reading the positive reviews of Victoria Wallet, I sent her an email. She responded immediately and suggested that I set up an appointment for a trial session. Unfortunately, I simply did not have the time to do this as I was leaving to attend my nephews wedding in Tuscany, and then hosting relatives from all over the world coming for my son's wedding. We emailed back & forth about the price, date & time of the wedding, location of my hotel etc. I also emailed her photos of myself. We then set up a date & time for us to chat on the phone. She asked what hairstyle I wanted, and I said, " I want an up do chignon that is classy, but I have baby fine hair." Victoria told me to go on Amazon and purchase "ponytail hair extensions". I was so pleased because the hair extensions were the same color as my hair! The day of the event, I was nervous in my hotel room. But Victoria was on time and quickly put me at ease. She assessed the lighting in my hotel room, laid her tools out on the bed and table and set to work! Victoria has incredible talent and an awesome personality. The hair extensions looked so natural - see the photos I posted! Also, I've never had airbrushing before and I really like how it covered and smoothed out my skin without feeling like the makeup was caked on giving a flawless, natural-looking appearance! I also wore false eyelashes for the first time and they looked fabulous! I loved my hair and it stayed up all night. My makeup held up the entire night with the heat and dancing. Victoria's professionalism and personality made the day of the wedding that much enjoyable.

The rest of the Story: I really wanted to like this place. I needed my hair Re-bleached. So after calling many other places and getting an answering machine, I called this one and received a friendly welcoming voice saying I could come in right away. The first impressions were good and they started on my hair right away. After the first bleaching. My hair had some spots that needed touched up. This is where it went VERY wrong. The lady doing my hair, increased the developer strength, which isn't itself out of the norm. However, not checking it for over ten minutes is. I was asked how I was doing, "I replied it's hot!". At this point it was busy and she was performing a haircut. She said she would be with me in a moment and continued with the cut. Finally the other lady who I believe is the owner took over. By this time I was visibly distressed and head was on fire!! When she put the toner on it burned even more which I thought was strange. After I left, about ten minutes later I felt something on my neck. It was a puddle of seepage from one of the chemically burned areas. The picture shown are some of the areas about an 1hr later I went back the next day and explained what happened to the lady that I believe is the owner, and asked for my money back $65. She said she could only do $40 of it. I was not looking to break her bank, I just wanted there to be some penalty for what was done. I accepted and signed a waiver against any further persecution. Everyone I've told says I should have received at the minimum a full refund. What do you think?
