I have curly hair, which can be a pain, but Danielle gave me a great cut and some tips I hadn't heard in my many years of expensive salon visits elsewhere. My husband had thick long hair, Jess was very patient spending a long time getting it back down to a nice short cut. The price is great ($25 for each of us) and their new location is awesome.

Ionix is pretty small but there are plenty of chairs to sit and wait and everyone that works here moves through customers nice and quickly so you never have to wait long. Anyway, if you are new to quickie-cut-places like this, you do not need an appointment. Make sure that you get signed in (i.e.have given some minor life info at the front counter). Otherwise, you will be sitting there until midnight. What I do not understand is this: People come in, knowing that this place does not take appointments, and then get huffy when they have to wait. Uh, the whole point of this place is that you can just spontaneouly walk in as a ragamuffin if the desire strikes- no prior calls, committments, nuthin'. If you can't deal with it, you need to get a grip. Haircuts are high quality for low bucks, and you can even get shampooed for a bit more. With the exception of one woman*, the hair sculptors are very patient and give great suggestions. They always work their magic after I attempt to tell them in a Bridget Jones manner what my kids want. They work fast, but not too fast. Plus, my daughter has high functioning autism, and she feels fine with the people who work there. My husband said just the other day that he wished we lived closer to this place because the last cut that he got there was great. He got his hair cut by the bearded gentleman with the glasses, Lily was super sweet and effective, and the gentleman with the Egyptian tattoos knew his stuff. (Sorry that I do not recall names.) You can also purchase hair related supplies here. Now, go get beautiful. *Yes, this place gets five stars per me if you can possibly avoid this woman. Four stars if you cannot.
