They were very nice and they colored my nieces hair beautifully and they were really concerned that she like it and gave her final say on the color. Then as a bonus she gave me a French braid. We will definitely go back. It's hard to find but worth the search. read more

What a cute salon! This place is really nice, very luxury and modern inside and the staff are super friendly! My stylist (I believe it was Danna) did EXACTLY what I wanted and even made my hair look even better! I asked for wispy bangs and some face framing and she basically gave me my dream come true! I mean... $45 for a hair cut AND a bang chop? Such a good deal. I can't speak better praise of this place and will definitely come back every time I need my hair cut. read more

I used to like this place for a good cheap haircut, but they recently changed their prices to $35 for a cut. On the phone she said it included shampoo and blow dry, just not styling. But when I got there the stylist didn't even offer to wash my hair. The cut took less than 10 mins. Next time I'll go somewhere else and pay a little more for full service. A lot of the stylist smoke cigarettes, and you can smell it the entire time they do your hair. read more

Belfair really needed this wonderfully decorated, hip little salon. It's a great addition alongside the Mosquito Fleet Winery next door. I have been here a handful of times, as has my husband. I have generally been happy with my haircuts (they've been simple cuts), but as experience varies with each employee, I have gotten a less-than-stellar cut. It was my first time with a stylist I had never seen there (a bigger blond woman whose station was up at the front of the store). I asked for layers, and I got three very distinct, very choppy layers. I couldn't put my hair up in a ponytail because the top (shortest) layer would not stay in place. I have since found a wonderful stylist at Pzazz in Silverdale that I will continue to visit for my hair needs. On the other hand, my husband has visited many times for his own hair upkeep and he's been placed with the middle aged lady with auburn red hair (I'm so sorry, I don't remember names). He's always been happy with their service and looks forward to his visits! I no longer go indoor tanning, but Shear Experience has added to their lineup of services some tanning & tanning lotions. Tempting, but not for me :) It is nice that they offer this, though, as Coconutts is long-gone and the Bear Creek Tanning Salon was mediocre at its best. Have not used this salon for nails but I would give them a try. I was in the salon when someone else was getting their pedicure, and I had a look when she was finished. It was very nicely done! IM SO PISSED OFF and disappointed I went to this place shears experience and I found out that they are the same rude, mean ladies that used to work for TGF salon that I was a customer for several years but unfortunately my lady retired :( .so I told myself let's try something new , and my surprise is that this ladies 2 of them who work at shears experience ruined my hair before and my mistake was gave them a chance to try this time and my hair was terrible ,hair all chopped and omg I cried all night , prices high and terrible job . Next morning I went to TGF and I felt more secure about seeing all new faces . Very kind girls professional and educated . They made me feel so special even if they had to cut 5 inches of my hair to fix the haircut , price was reasonable and they are running specials all the time . Owner and a few of the ladies are great! But along with them there comes not so good stylists there too. Although they are all nice. I have always had great luck there especially with lorie. Butttttt past three years not good. About 3 times going there now have had bad heighlights. And my daughter two bad visits too. Great stylist! My Boys love getting their hair cut here and they do a nice, clean and gentle job waxing! Make an appointment because they're usually pretty busy! If you have the time to wait for a cut on a walk-in, it's definitely worth it! read more

The owner is professional and delightful. However, Evalyn, who did my hair was a downright snob. She got mad at me for not brining a picture for her to follow (I ended up bringing the picture up from my phone). She told me the haircut and color (a bob with autumn-colored highlights like red and copper) would only work for me if I "made an effort" and put on makeup. She gave me a type of highlight that I didn't ask for and a completely wrong color. She attempted to fix her mistake that she tried to pin on me, but still failed. I walked out with a shorter bob than I wanted and red hair that verged on being pink. What an atrocity. She is unkind and doesn't need to be in the service industry. read more

Went in for a standard flat-top. Halfway through my cut, she refused to touch the top saying that she wasn't good at doing it. She didnt even use clippers to fade me. It was all scissors and a comb. She was also tactless with her choice of conversation. She said she wasnt used to doing this type of haircut in California. Well... Sorry to say, it's a very traditional men's cut, even in California. Never again. Would never recommend. read more

I call B S on Ann S. and her review. I have gone to Shear Experience three times and each time all the ladies are polite and very friendly. I work at our local grocery store and I know many and I mean MANY people who have gone to Shear Experience and LOVE their hair after they go there. Now if you want to talk about TGF well I walk by their window daily and most days all the chairs are EMPTY. HMMM wonder why? I will bet my paycheck the hair stylist are way better at Shear Experience then TGF. read more

So disappointed. I went in for a trim, and I walked out with something I could have done myself. One minute worth of snipping cost me 17 bucks. Didn't wash, didn't syle, didn't play around with it to see if it sat well. She just snipped the back off, and cut my bangs way to short and sent me on my way. So, as hair was piled in the back of my collar and I was trying to wipe off the hair covering my face and neck, I said 'I also had a waxing.' Well, that wasn't so well either. I left with wax still on my face. Hairs still where they are not suppose to be, and now I will be going somewhere else right now to fix the mistakes I spent 30 dollars on. Just, don't go. read more

I have been quite loyal to Erin, the first stylist I tried at Shear Experience. They always offer me coffee or a glass of wine. They know how to protect my neck when I'm getting my hair washed and even massage my scalp! I have loved every cut and color here...something I don't say often. Don't even pay attention to the old negative reviews on here. I am pretty sure those stylists mentioned are long gone. It seems everyone I know goes here and has someone they swear by. read more

I got the WORST haircut of my life. I came in and asked Lori to cut 5" off of my hip length hair. She had washed and braided my hair before and done a great job. She also knew how much I loved my long hair. While she was cutting it, she said that she would have to take a little more to get all the split ends. Like a fool, I said OK. When she finished she did not turn me around so I could see how much she had cut off. When I got home I went to put my hair in a pony tail and discovered it was just barely longer than shoulder length. It had taken me nearly 7 years to get my hair as long as it was and she wiped it out in 15 minutes. Instead of a smooth sweep of hair, the pony tail sticks out at all different lengths looking like a pile of straw starting about 4" from my pony tail wrap. I am just sick, but there is nothing that can be done about it. I will NEVER be going back to this salon again. Maybe never even to a beauty shop!!! I feel horrible and my hair looks terrible. read more
