It took about three months since August for some over-plucked parts to fully come back. Pretty happy with the results and the natural shape, I wanted to take off a few stray hairs to get the eyebrows look more symmetrical and also to trim the top part in a way that looks clean and not over-groomed. I normally do this myself, but since I haven't had full-blown natural eyebrows in ages, I figured it'd be a great opportunity to go to a stylist and treat myself. I've had terrible experiences in the past when people would pluck the heck out of me for no good reason, so I was pretty hesitant to do this, and the fact that none of my girlfriends normally did it at a salon also didn't help. After checking a number of places in the neighborhood, I was blown away by the amazing reviews, the IG account of Eye Love Beauty, and more importantly the beautiful luscious eyebrows of their aestheticians. So I booked an appointment, thinking that with every single girl rocking bushy eyebrows these days, the worst thing that could happen to me would be just paying the money and leaving with almost no changes, which I would have been totally fine with to be honest. My appointment was with Rochelle, who was very friendly and attentive. She examined my eyebrows, listened to my preferences and confirmed them to make sure we are on the same page. She also suggested to take off a bit of hair at the bottom to open the eyes/define the arch, which I was happy with. She carried on, was fast and very gentle. When she was done and handed me the mirror to check out the results, you could only imagine my surprise as I saw two skinny flat tasteless eyebrows from the 2000s on my face with half of the width gone, including good 3 mm from the top, and the arch was no longer there. I was completely stumped as I realized there was nothing that could be done at that point. So I mumbled something about the top of the eyebrows. Rochelle suggested that it wasn't as dense as the middle part, which is absolutely true by the way - my eyebrows are not perfect, but they are definitely much thicker than most of the average ones, and with a bit of filling they always look extremely voluminous. At this point I could only assume either the majority of their clients have perfect model eyebrows, the staff was trained on such eyebrows, or it was simply not my day. I felt extremely bad, but I didn't want to make a scene or argue - Rochelle was very kind throughout the whole session, there was nothing to be done at that point for the hair to magically grow back, and I was rushing back to work. So I just paid and left. I hate to be the person to leave this as an online comment rather than in-person feedback, but I honestly don't know what I should have done differently, since we both seemed to be on the same page, and I am not the type of person to interrupt an expert to check every two minutes on their work. I liked Rochelle a lot and wouldn't mind coming back if I knew I would be getting what I want. I just want to cry in a corner and shave this shame off. It will take me three months to grow back the hair, with the ugly stumps sticking out, and I cannot even properly conceal this with a pencil/shadow, since it looks absolutely ridiculous in this spot. The dumbest part is I don't have anyone else to blame for this but myself. So if you are someone like me, having beautiful eyebrows and contemplating about saving time shaping them yourself, please don't repeat my mistakes, set aside two hours and do it yourself. No one knows your face better than you, and not even the best stylist can read your mind. Or if you decide to give it a try, maybe ask a stylist to fill in the final desired shape before they start tweezing.

If this was my first time, then I wouldn't have any expectations but it isn't so I am quite disappointed with the results. Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! Pros: I had my eyebrows threaded for free since it was my birthday month, they looked awesome after. Customer service was great, they refilled my lashes after 4 days because so many fell out. Price was also good since they had a promo ($85 for 60 lashes per eye). Cons: SO many lashes fell out. By day 4, I only had 20-25 lashes left (I had 60 originally) on one of my eyes and came in for a recount, where I received a free refill to 55 lashes per eye. I know that 1-2 lashes can fall out per day, but it's day 8 now and both eyes are only at ~30 lashes each. I am really disappointed because 1) I purchased the sealer and am using it as indicated 2) I have not worn ANY eye makeup since I had my lashes done 3) I don't sleep on my face or rub my eyes. I'm giving a 3 star since I had my eyebrows done for free and they gave me a free refill but I'm disappointed that my lashes can't even stay a week (might be an issue with the glue they use or lashes were too heavy for my eyelashes).
