We moved into a house on Munjoy Hill in Portland. We contracted with Huffington House to provide…read moreinterior design services and supply furniture for our 3 story house. What an awful design experience we had in dealing with Bronwyn Huffard, the firm's owner, and the Huffard House. After charging us a $3000 "retainer", Bronwyn Huffard, the owner, delivered a page of cut-out photos and images representing the interior design deliverable after two months. The work product that we received from the Huffard House after waiting a couple of months to receive our interior design could have been done in a few minutes, not weeks, and certainly not at a cost of $2,100. After specifying priority areas, we never received a design product. We are extremely dissatisfied with Huffard House, and cannot recommend Bronwyn Huffard or Huffard House for any future project. If we could leave a negative 2 star review for Huffard House, we would. We remain extremely disappointed and have made overtures to Bronwyn Huffard to get our retainer money back. Our overtures and offers have been rejected. Based on our terrible experience with Huffard House, we would not recommend wasting money and being frustrated by expensive, "pad & paper" services of Huffard House. Instead, in our opinion, it would be better to just go to Ethan Allen in Portland center, where they will quickly (as in a matter of hours), visit your home, take photos, and then create a custom interior design for you ... in hours and for no charge
