Let me begin with the headline: if you have any issue that makes you think you should see an ENT, the first and only Doctor on your list should be Dr. Nasseri. I have been a patient of Dr. Nasseri for 15 years. That should tell you a lot. Either I'm a masochist or I truly think this guy knows his shit and, although not every test Dr. Nasseri runs is exactly comfortable, I keep coming back for the latter.
I could wax poetic and tell you how Dr. Nasseri is a funny, hyper intelligent, super competent doctor and skilled surgeon who aced his way through Harvard Med and is literally the go-to ENT for entertainers who can pay pick any doctor in the world and they chose Dr. Nasseri (no joke, this dude's walls are covered with probably over one hundred signed records, ranging from Ariana Grande to Boys To Men, each saying how thankful they are for Dr. Nasseri's help. ). I could tell you that, as good of a doctor as Dr. Nasseri is, his wife and business partner, also known as Dr. Nasseri, is as skilled as an anesthesiologist as you'll find and is a sweet and funny person. But I think two quick stories are worth more than another paragraph of well-earned superlatives for these two doctors.
First story comes from about a decade ago. Randomly, one day, I just lost hearing in one of my ears. Super fucking freaky. Not fun. I went to a different doctor who didn't really know what to do. After some tests and some thoughts this doctor decided it might be a good idea to drill a hole in my ear because, "that should do the trick." Totally. When all else fails, drill baby drill.
For what are hopefully obvious reasons I didn't want to just jump into that procedure. So instead, I thought about it and decided, yeah, you know what, Dr. Nasseri doesn't accept insurance, he's expensive, but for the last five years he's done a good job every time I've come to him with an ENT related problem. So I made an appointment.
I shit you not, within two minutes, Dr. Nasseri finished looking in my ear, saw something, removed it and I could hear again. That simple. No drilling into my ear. Just a thorough examination, the identification of a blocked airway and the careful removal of the blockage. Needless to say, I was pretty pleased I went to see him.
Story number two comes from this year. I figure, anyone who cares enough to read this might want to make sure that Dr. Nasseri isn't some has-been who lives on his laurels.
I had an accident when I was younger, and I've never quit breathed the same since then. After years of Dr. Nasseri, and other doctors, telling me I need surgery to correct the issue, I gave in. But before doing the operation, I decided to get one more second opinion. This second doctor is a highly skilled doctor who came highly recommended to me from a GP I trust. This second ENT agreed with Dr. Nasseri's diagnosis, and volunteered that he, the second doctor, did not possess the necessary skill for the complicated surgery I required. This doctor did however say that Dr. Nasseri had the ability and knowledge to do this procedure. It's not everyday a Beverly Hills doctor says he is not good enough to do a surgery but this other guy, direct competition, is, so go to him. So I did. And so should you.
I like to joke that I have known Dr. Nasseri since his walls, which are now packed with signed records, were a little barer. And I have. And that should tell you something. That I think so highly of this doctor I don't only write this review and send my friends and family to him, but I, a selfish person, keep going back to him. All jokes aside, put simply, if you need an ENT, this dude is a rock star. read more
