If I could I wouldn't even can't give Shaw Cable a single star, because they don't deserve one. I've been having trouble with my Wi-Fi for several weeks now. I booked an appointment for a Shaw Tech to come & look at the situation. They pulled a no show & no-one bothered to email or call me to apologize or reschedule. The only explanation that was given, was that they cancelled the appointment so that the Tech could help elsewhere with the other Shaw Cable outage problems. read more

Shaw Cable absolutely sucks at customer service. After 30 minutes of being stuck on hold, I finally tried the online chat. & surprise surprise more waiting just to find out what was going on. I've had service from both Shaw and Telus. As for quality of the actual service, Shaw blows Telus out of the water as far as high speed, BUT even on 15 Mbps, I'm perfectly fine, unless you're doing some super high tech stuff this will be enough for you. I've been told that HD on Shaw is a tiny bit clearer also. But HD is rocks regardless. Shaw Cable price is comparable to Telus when comparing apples to apples. I have tried Telus TV and Internet. Shaw is more reliable, better than 99% up time for me. No contract. No issues. I would highly recommend Shaw. For many reasons one being. Local call centers not overseas like Telus. This results in much better service. Shaw internet is also much faster. Being I live on the computer. Internet speed matters. Even If TELUS offer free internet, I would prefer paying for internet that is fast and reliable. Being the internet highly important to me and I would assume many others. Let's be honest the only way TELUS gets anyone to change is bribes, offering gifts and price discounts. We're not comparing apples to apples in quality, speed or service. This discount comes at a heavy price. It includes mass frustration and slow internet and a will get around to helping you later attitude and a contract your stuck in! They did not seem to care about the fact my internet and TV were out and not just once. It happened 3 times over 2 months! I told them I work online but they did not seem to care. I was in a contract. They had me by the balls. As far as I'm considered I would not go with TELUS is it was free. This is fact. I do not need the BS. Not say I think Shaw Cable is the be all, end all, but compared to TELUS?? They are superstars. read more

New office is a joke in the mall. Waited over an hour (74 minutes to be exact) and with a lineup 9 deep, the two customers that were I the store were browsing and asking 100 questions. Staff should suggest to look online, get what you want and come in and pick it up. People need to realize with limited amount of people in a store they should think about others and be more considerate of those in line for long periods of time. Store should have one desk to do payments and bill inquiries and another kiosk for cell phone purchasers read more

We moved to Vernon from white Rock we're we were happy with our Shaw package and service It was down hill from the time we made the call to move service We called ahead to plan the move transition and they mistakenly cut off internet that day instaead of 2 weeks later on the move date It took 3 calls that never got returned and a chat to get it resolved It was over 6 hours of holdingand waiting! After our move in we had multiple calls and hours of waiting on hold to actually talk to someone and an appt was set up for a service call 2 weeks after our move in as we were not getting a good signal That was a no show ! We called again which was another 4 hour ordeal we could only get a chat session as no one called us back after 2 days of leaving messages We are now waiting another 2 weeks for the first available appt for a service call So in total we will wait over a month for a service that we get in one room of our house This is apparently acceptable to Shaw When we asked to talk to a supervisor no one was available and we were told we would get a call back the next day We did not Shaw service has gone down hill I would of given it a lowered score than 1 if it was a choice We will be trying Telus now Unacceptable read more

Very Happy with Shaw. Good service. Good Value. Good people. We asked for a break on our monthly bill, and got a reduction of $ 45. per month. Free long distance calling for 2 years, and a new high speed router . Called in on a Monday, and had it all in place by Tuesday. Very satisfied, and its a local company too . We moved to Kelowna in June of 2016. Started with Shaw on a 2 year contract at $125 per month for Internet, phone & TV. In June of 2017 they increased it to $175 per month. They say the only way we can get out of the contract is to pay them $20 per month for the remaining term. Rip off. Also when we go south for the winter they do not allow us to put our services on vacation and pay a reduced rate. So we have to pay $175 per month when we're not even home. Rip off. read more
