At first I passed by this facility and didn't even realize it was there. I literally walked back…read moreand was like, "Wait! There's axe throwing in Ann Arbor?" And I was right, there's finally axe throwing in Ann Arbor and I could not be more pumped! The facility was clean and had plenty of room to accommodate for big groups. This was my first time throwing an axe so one of the employees, Connor showed me how to do it and I ended up loving it! I know there's another location in Detroit, but it's so nice to finally have one in Ann Arbor and conveniently right beside not one but two bars! Did I mention it's cheaper than the other locations too? Only $35 an hour? Score! Perfect for a date night and perfect for a big group trying to go out. This was so much fun and I can't wait to come again. 10/10 would recommend!

Yet another beautiful free Michigan park!…read more This is connected to Furstenberg Park by a short trail that is mostly boarded by wood and has some small bridges. I like to bird watch and saw a cool Wood Ducks in the water, a tree swallow, and a swan! You can also stop by the water (very close to the shore) in the short hike at least 3 times and see some turtles. And there are many chipmunks and some other birds along the path. And there are a lot of people canoeing or kayaking on the water.

Gallup Park (broader than just the Canoe Livery) is one of my absolute favorite parks in Ann Arbor!…read moreEasy but varied and interesting trails, paved and unpaved, with great views of water, nature, and animals. Great park for distance running - when I was training for a half marathon, I would come here for anywhere from 3-8 mile runs. I actually typically like parking at the boat launch entrance off Geddes, but there is plenty of parking at the main entrance as well. It's just a little bit of a quieter entrance to the park. Over the last couple of years, they've had some fantastic art displays there as well. Very dog friendly, kid friendly, bike friendly, all of the above! Tends to be one of the busier parks, but for good reason.

First, the people that work here genuinely love what they do... and it shows. They organize things PERFECTLY. It starts on time, is well-run, and the people that join in on these events are also just amazing. What a fun experience from start to finish. The parking nearby is a little rough on the weekends, obviously... but otherwise, this place is the best! Do a class, do an event... you won't be disappointed!

Family Fridays : painting soup mugs! So fun except for the little loudmouth jerk that won't STFU!…read more My little and had so much fun painting our mugs. It was a great experience to do this together. Two hour time was perfect. Good instruction and great supplies. I love the colors and getting creative though this is not my wheelhouse, it was still a lot of fun. Classes are very affordable. The instruction was great and gave me some ideas to play with layering. I had a little problem with using a gift card but they were great in the office to get us signed up and squared away. We'll definitely be back!

The owner and staff were all wonderful and super on top of things, having guests play actual WATL style games which is so much more fun than the normal blackjack style games I usually see venues push. The venue was beautiful and spacious, offering I believe 6 different ranges, 12 lanes total. The venue was clearly well maintained and both the community and the employees made it an even better time than usual, moving things quickly. I love that they even ordered us lunch and allowed us a break, as someone who has to fully stop to eat, that was a huge perk for me. This venue also offers snacks, a mocktail menu, and a full bar- liquor, wine, and beer! That's pretty impressive as I've yet to experience an axe venue that offered liquor before yesterday. Overall, would absolutely recommend this venue for anyone looking to throw for their first time or for seasoned throwers like myself. Had an amazing time and hope to come back some day if I'm local!

This place was recommended to be by a couple of my friends and it definitely did not disappoint…read more The owners were fantastic and very helpful. Their knowledge is beyond my current golf experience and capabilities, but that is why I went to the best. I needed some clubs that would work for me and that would get me on a path to enjoy golf. They did not just want to sell me a set of clubs, they wanted to make sure what I was buying was the best fit. I was able to get a swing analysis and personalized customer service that you can't get at a modern retail store. I would highly recommend Clor's to anyone looking for clubs (new or used).
