I heard Dr. Breznay at Maimonides Division of Geriatrics is a wonderful doctor. She may be. I…read moredon't know because her office is completely disorganized. . I made an appointment early May for June 26. I was told I would receive papers to complete. I asked that they be both emailed and sent regular mail. After a week or two I left a message saying I never received either. I got no response. After another few weeks I got a call asking if I had filled out the papers because my appointment was coming up soon. I said I hadn't received them. They were mailed and received. I started working on collecting the information to complete them On June 22, I called to clarify how long the appointment would take so I could schedule my day and was told there is no record of any appointment and the next available appointment would be July 31. When I got angry, she said she would squeeze me in at the appointment time I had been given, but that the doctor may not be able to see me until she's seen her other patients and may not be able to give me the usual "new patient" time. I turned down the offer to spend a day in a waiting room to possibly be seen. The level of aggravation this has induced counteracts any health benefits of seeing a doctor and Dr Breznay may be the world's best doctor, but she is useless if you can't get to see her. Although each department has it's own unique style of irritant, every interaction I have ever had at any department of Maimonides has been a source of aggravation .

Dr Ki Chi Chi, PT - Physical Therapy…read more So this location seems like it might been bought out by NYU (as NYU does). There are primarily Chinese and/ or American staff so it might be difficult for them to serve the Spanish speaking community that is also in Sunset Park/ borderline Chinatown area. My first time at this location was very different in that some of the "features" wasn't the same as going to a NY location's network of offices. This goes for using their online "MyChart" system/ app to other procedures. My initial consultation for PT in the city was seen by one Doctor who's full initial assessment was personal, while with Dr Chi he was seeing 2-3 other patients while treating me, as well at training another PT in the office. Nevertheless it was quick and efficient. The doctor was very knowledgeable about the technical terms of muscles/ tendons. The only few downside I experienced was that "bedside manner" could be improved and that exercises could also be emailed/ seen online (I was provided a paper copy as requested).

Deceptive Billing, Unnecessary Blood Tests, and Public Humiliation…read more I scheduled my appointment through the clinic's website, which clearly stated the $300 fee included both the medical exam and completion of Form I-693. When I arrived, the receptionist confirmed this. Even the doctor told me--without me even asking--that the $300 covered both the appointment and the documentation. He said a blood test might be an additional charge and necessary to complete my I-693 which I agreed. I had already provided proof of all required vaccinations, and blood test that I got in another clinic and my insurance paid for it, so there was no medical reason to run any tests. Still, they mentioned one specific blood test, but then performed a different one that I did not need. When I returned to receive my results, I was suddenly told I had to pay another $300 to complete the documentation(form I-693) completely contradicting what both the website and staff had previously confirmed. When I questioned it, the receptionist began yelling at me in front of the entire waiting room and refused to finalize my paperwork unless I paid again. It was deeply unprofessional and humiliating. After leaving, I called the clinic to clarify. They told me the website was "wrong," and that the true cost was $300 for the exam and another $300 for the form (I-693) something never disclosed at any point. I requested a detailed, itemized bill showing the charges for both the appointment and filling the form but they refused. All they offered was a basic credit card receipt. When I finally received a billing summary, through email they cc two more people who could see all my bill and personal information, however they didn't disclose the charges and instead just sent me a total of due without specific information, so i had to request a disclosed bill and when I got it,they were charging me for hepatitis b, varicella and MMR titer and i had the vaccines for all these (I gave them my vaccine record including vaccines for these diseases so not blood test was necessary) This clinic is dishonest, lacks transparency, and operates unethically. They performed unnecessary medical procedures, changed prices after the fact, refused to provide proper billing, and publicly humiliated me. I strongly urge others to avoid this place at all costs

More than two weeks later, I still have not received it and continue to get the runaround every time I call. When patients are facing the possibility of a biopsy or other serious follow-up testing, timely access to their medical images is critical. Delays like this create unnecessary stress and can potentially delay important medical decisions. The staff have been unable to provide clear answers or a realistic timeline, leaving me frustrated and concerned. Patients should not have to repeatedly chase down their own medical records, especially during an already stressful situation. I hope NYU improves its process for releasing imaging records so future patients receive the prompt support and communication they deserve

Spent weeks agonizing over this procedure, and when I got there, the nurse told me that the doctor asked if they should have called me in advance to tell me not to come! Horrible, unprofessional, and dangerous! This is not a place you go for an XRay of your foot. This is breast cancer detection. Stay away! Moral of the story: if you want the NYU care, don't go to the NYU outlet. Go to the FLAGSHIP in Manhattan.
