You can never get through on the phones. They pick up and then put you on hold until you hang up because you no longer want to wait for them to pick up. The office is small times there is not available seat. It's just the worst. Oh and then there are patients that are traveling out of the country that come in for shots and pay cash they will be seen immediately. No even gonna mention the patients that are Spanish speaking that get the ladies in the front to move them to the top of the list. Hahaha. Yep So like I said she's a good doctor but it's not worth the BS you have to go through to be seen. So if you still want to give it a try, remember "You've been warned"

When you need referrals she personally calls the specialists' office to let them know a patient of hers will be coming over. She helps you get appointments with specialists a lot quicker than you'd be able to by yourself. She is affiliated with Mt. Sinai hospital. Consult is normally $75 or so w/o insurance and she will give you med samples if she has them so you don't have to purchase. I remember once coming in to see Dr. Hentek with a chest and sinus infection. She saw me, gave me a perscription and left the office. When she came back in the exam room, she noticed I was in pain and couldn't stand. She asked me about it and wrote me a perscription for that as well. . Dr. Hentek saw that I was in pain and treated me for that distress. I'm thankful for her genuine concern. I realized that it didn't occur to me to ask her about anything for my back because I'd been told that the pain would pass by another physician and that I should just take Alieve. I'm a person of color and as such, I've experienced doctors who are hesitant to perscribe pain medication so I subconsiously didn't ask even though I was in the doctor's office. I have changed general physicians though. I had a visit with Dr. Hentek after I'd lost a significant amount of weight 30+ lbs. Dr. Hentek made a comment to me about making an effort to loose more. I shared my regiment and told her about the results I'd had in the previous months and instead of suggesting alternate options she just told me about the negative effects of excess weight and told me to loose more. Of course I have some idea of the negative effects of excess weight otherwise I wouldn't have embarked on the effort I did to loose the weight I had. Physically the doctor is larger than I am so I felt she should be a little more sensitive and construct in offering feedback on weightloss. I was pretty insulted so I'm no longer seeing Dr. Hentek. Women if you're a size 14 or above; you might want to see another doctor.

I was there today for a follow up visit, my second meeting with the doctor . You will switch to this office after you read my review I guarantee you. First , the internist , who is my new primary care physician is a joy to be with . Bubbly , friendly , well concern about your health , very professional yet easy to talk with your concerns and issues, attentive, accommodating , considerate, efficient and productive. She will call you days after the result of your lab work whether it is within the limit or over and beyond the range limit and provide you with her medical advises . The medical secretary as well is very efficient, welcoming , nice and knowledgeable . The location of the office is in a corporate Medical building across Lakeville Shopping Center. Parking is huge. The office itself is clean and neat with free wifi . Easy to locate and situated in the same building as the quest diagnostic lab. Office hours is convenient , setting up appointment is easy , won't give you any hard time . On my first likeable encounters with them, the Doctor returned my call of concern right away. I did not had any trouble , waiting or attitude from medical staff when Asking for medical records or data. How I wish I'd known and had this group ever since.

(That happened to me in February) She didn't take my complaints seriously because my overall health is great and I all my blood tests always run normal. However, I wanted prescription to see a specialist and she asked where I'm planning to go and when I mentioned doctor's name she was refusing to give me prescription because she doesn't like him personally(?????). She suggested other doctor but I chose a doctor I wanted to visit and she finally gave me prescription. I had to have a surgery the next day and if I would listen to her I would end up in the emergency room. So bottom line : I won't come back to this office, never ever in my life.
