After Shawn changed the settings in my pool, I came home to a nearly flooded house! Obviously I called him in distress, he told me to use a pump and he'd try and make it back out in a FEW DAYS!!! I'm no contractor, but if you nearly flood someone's home, you address them the situation IMMEDIATELY! Far from impressed with his service or his attitude. And yes - the SPA is supposed to be full. When I returned it was almost empty!! In addition - the sensor issue that he came here was never fixed. He took it upon himself to make all these changes to my Schedules, Pumps, etc. I would've been better off without Shawn ever showing up at my house. As you can see - Shawn advised me to shut off my entire pool and her return in a few days to address. Would anyone accept that? In addition, he was never concerned about the issue HE created. Mostly concerned about being paid! Shawn has commented that my pool wasn't taken care of, blah blah blah and also bringing my wife's comment into this, which you are a liar - she stated we've had nothing but problems with the pool.. hence you being hired and approved by ME and ELEVATE! And why would I expect anything for FREE? I have a home warranty that pays you (not this time). I wouldn't hire this company to maintain a pond. After a brief phone call I sent him a text, as he requested, with all of our contact information. The communication was poor to say the least. Looks like I dodged a bullet based on the reviews. I had them several years ago. Overcharged me, left gates open and we're the worst pool service I had.

Shawn, the owner of Sharky Pools, was referred to me as I was looking for someone to find out where my pool was leaking from. Shawn presented himself as friendly and confident and was able to find and fix the leak. While the pool was drained, I asked Shawn about creating a sun shelf to the pre-existing pool. He told me it would be quite simple and let me know what would need to be done for my son-in-law (a concrete foreman) to form it. After the sun shelf was formed, Shawn set up a Gunite crew to come in. He was present and instructing the crew as they did the work. He told me he would be back in 2 weeks with a plaster company. Cue the beginning of the unprofessionalism and Jekyll and Hyde personality. I finally had to reach out to Shawn after not hearing from him for 4 weeks. The Gunite crew had left a complete mess of the pool including leaving tools and shovels behind, cleaning concrete into my grass, excess overspray on the existing plaster, large piles of Gunite at the bottom of the sun shelf, and even pieces of Gunite in the in pool jacuzzi. Shawn said I needed to clean everything up before it would be able to be plastered! Or that if he had to do it, he would charge me $500. I asked what that would entail and basically, he said power washing it. I waited to give Shawn an answer so I could have a conversation with my son-in-law about him helping me and what his thoughts were. The next day, a man from the plaster company showed up and he was surprised by the mess. I said to the plaster guy that I needed to power wash it and He told me there was much more that needed to be done. He proceeded to show me all the problems and mess left by the Gunite company and told me how I would need to be chipping off Gunite and grinding it down in the unlevel, poorly finished areas. With this information, I reached back out to Shawn. He did not want to come over and look at or talk about it. He finally agreed to come over and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I shared the information from the plaster company, Shawn became hostile and said his price was now $1,000 to clean up the mess left by his contracted Gunite company. I asked if he felt good about that and Shawn said he is so busy and doesn't need my business. He said St. George area is booming and now he is charging $100 an hour because all these people moving here from California have lots of money. He then took to attempting to insult other "messes" in my yard before leaving me with his disaster! I decided to reach out to Gooch Pools, they came out to assess the situation. It was then, I was informed it wasn't possible to bond plaster to existing plaster and how the job was done by cutting corners and lack of knowledge. However, Mike Gooch came up with a solution and had my pool finished and ready to use within a few days! Do not waste your time and money with Shawn and Sharky Pools. He is unprofessional, cuts corners, rude, and greedy. read more

Great experience with Sharky. I have been maintaining my own pool and had some equipment start to break down and with travel the pool got away from me. I couldn't get a hold of previous company and since Sharky is a sponsor at a local high school I have them a try. Incredible service. Friendly and a great deal. Even took care of a lot of items from equipment warranty for me. I'll be using them going forward. read more

I was very disappointed in the quality of service. I had noticed a lot of debris in my pool skimmer basket and pump basket. So I looked back on my camera's and nothing had been emptied for at least 2 months. Also the skim line was not scrubbed or walls brushed. I had them servicing both hot tub and pool. I really wanted to trust that it was just missed but when I spoke with the owner Shawn I was told they do not remove screws to empty baskets?? I have two small Phillip screws on the skimmer basket. They have always reported on my service report that walls were brushed and baskets emptied... He told me they were really busy and was very rude. would not recommend!! read more

S__n at Sharkys told me that when they took over my pool service and maintenance I wouldn't have to worry about my pool any more. At first that was true but then communication and service got worse. As my hot tub emptied, I called for service. A week later my hot tub is full, actuator is on ground, pool is cold I called again, and was told we are turning people down for service and you don't seem to be happy so find someone else to fix your equipment. Took me a while to find the name of this company after they attempted work on my hot tub therefore this review is for attempted service several months ago. My hot tub quit working and this company was recommended by a friend. Charged me over $1000 to get it going but in the process he cut my garden hose to use during the repair, left me a $50 filter beside the tub because he couldn't make it fit then had the nerve to tell me it was too far for him to come back when the tub quit working again one month later.I ended up having to buy the right filter on line as well as parts that allowed me to make the repairs myself. I'm sure there are other companies that would not leave a filter, and charge for it that didn't fit next to the tub nor would they cut your hose because they didn't have the proper equipment to do the job and certainly most companies would come back when the work they recently completed failed. Sharky is the worst pool company in Saint George. They don't even test your water when they come. How can they tell if the water has any chlorine or where the PH is at if they don't test the water. Your better off doing it by your self! read more
