This is a fantastic learning community with amazing instructors and an incredible professor. There is a great group of students of various levels that are mindful of your comfort as well. It is a great setup and they give you a bunch of floor time on the mat to roll after direct instruction. You cannot find a better studio, community, and schedule than this. So happy to be on my jiu jitsu journey here!

This place has no regard for the safety of kids. My son is a beginner at this program and they put…read morehim with a boy in an advanced group. This boy then proceeded to slam my son dome down with so much force he hit the back of his head against the floor mat. The advanced boy then put my son in a choke hold, My son was terrified and began to cry while he was being choked. As a concerned parent I stepped in to speak with the teacher that was supervising them and tell him to stop this immediately, my son is a beginner and he shouldn't have been placed with someone as advanced as the other little boy. When I asked him why would they put a beginner student with an advanced student, the teacher replied with, "this is how they learn." The anger I felt at that moment was so strong, how can a child be expected to learn such advanced fighting maneuvers when he is getting knocked down at every try? The answer to me seems like they wanted them to fight because my son is tall for his age, they were using this as mini fight club due to my sons size instead of a teaching moment. My son is only 5 and just starting this program. He should have never been put to "fight" with a child that has been training in this for months. The blatant disregard by the teachers to seeing my son terrified and crying is infuriating. It truly shows that they do not care for the safety of our kids. I quickly went to my son and the other boy and told him to let my son go, I grabbed my son and went home. I will not be bringing my son here again, they do not care about kids safety and will stand there doing nothing while your child cries and is full of fear.

I can't say enough great things about King Cobra. My son has been training here for the past seven…read moremonths, and he absolutely fell in love with Muay Thai. Before joining King Cobra, I had him enrolled in a jiu-jitsu class, but I could tell he wasn't thriving. Making the switch was one of the best decisions we've made. What stands out most is how welcoming and dedicated the coaches are. They make every child feel included, and even with a large class, they take the time to work with each student individually. They don't just lead the class--they genuinely teach, encourage, and help every child improve. My son also trains privately with Isaac, and he has been incredible. In group classes, Martin and Jess have also been amazing coaches. Their patience, knowledge, and ability to connect with the kids have helped my son's confidence and skills grow tremendously. If you're looking for a gym where your child will be challenged, supported, and truly cared for, I highly recommend King Cobra. We're so grateful to have found this gym.

My wife and I train here as well as help with the kids classes. The kids classes: Professor Dimitrios keeps the kids attention by keeping it fun but engaging. Our kids have progressed so much in the time they have trained here I recommend this academy to all my friends and coworkers with children. Self defense as well as antibullying is taught here. Kids confidence grows and we are so happy with the kids progress. THE ADULT CLASS Has been a life changing experience for my wife and I. There's so much to learn it's like chess for the body. All the movements and how they connect into a very practical art that can be utilized for self defense and sport. Health and self defense benefits aside the academy has been a place where we have gained many friendships with those who train here. Professor Dimitrios and the other coaches are very knowledgeable in the art. I have done open mat sparring at other gyms since starting here at DMBJJ and always get complimented on techniques i use or how I hold up to higher belts from other gyms... that is a testament to the knowledge Professor disperses to us and the kids.. This is a great academy! Come on in a try a class!

Instructor is well experienced very patient, welcoming and above all attentive to your needs. Now do I recommend this place? My answer... Yes of course, at first I was terrified the commitment the techniques the idea of working out it brought pain to my stomach but only because I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I've taken the first class which is free a trial, after that first class I honestly enjoyed it I loved it I signed up there and then. I am not looking back I am pushing forward and I am making a change not not only for myself but for my wife I want us to live a healthy prosperous life and I feel this is the place to be.
