Their cheap paper cups aren't well insulated and doesn't even help to have the sleeve on it. I couldn't even hold the cup at all to sip it at all. The lemon ginger tea was blah, has a hint of lemon and little to no ginger to it. My husband said the Snicker mocha is good at least.

Good food, nice staff, long wait times, horribly overpriced…read more Very long wait time, we stood at the counter waiting to order for several minutes before we were helped. But the food came out relatively fast. Their prices are hidden on all their menus, probably because they don't want the customers to know that they're charging $7 for all their sandwiches, even the basic ones.

I decided on the raspberry white chocolate scone and a HUGE caramel roll, that I split with my provider. The roll was warmed up and stayed warm the 1.5 blocks I had to travel. Cut this bad boy in half and dug in. So much flavor to it. I love cinnamon rolls but sometime there is too much icing. This was great with the caramel sauce on top. Sweet but not over powering where you fall in to a sugar coma, Al helped I only had half. I think it was about the size of my face. It had been a year since I was stateside. I did a self-imposed ban visting the States thanks to the tariff wars. I decided to lift it, as I missed watching Minnesota Wild games and being in a state that I once called home for two years. A seat sale got me from Toronto to Winnipeg. A rental vehicle got me doing a road trip down to the Twin Cities. I wanted a drink from Caribou Coffee. I have missed this place so much. The closest Caribou cafes from Winnipeg are three in Grand Forks. I decided to visit this one, as it was closest to where I had just had lunch. This cafe is cute. It looks tiny from the outside, but it's definitely full-service. I used the drive-thru. A friendly woman said hi over the speaker. She asked whether I collected rewards. I did and stated my cell phone number associated with my account. She found me and asked what I wanted to order. I saw the cranberry dark chocolate espresso shaker and wanted it in a large. Done! I pulled up to the window. I paid with a credit card. I got to tap my card and then specify a tip if I wanted to. I got my drink. I thanked her and continued driving down to Minneapolis. I sipped this drink. It was delicious. I love dark chocolate. The cranberry added a nice tartness. I certainly needed the espresso in this drink as my day had started at 4:40 am and it was now 3 pm. I didn't even look at whether this drink used milk or oat beverage. I'm borderline lactose-intolerant. My stomach was fine. I check a couple of hours later and it has oat beverage in it. Yes! It was great reconnecting with Caribou Coffee after a year. I love supporting a Minnesota chain. I am happy that I can get my fix in Grand Forks at this location. I'll be back when I'm in the area again. (480)
