    Warm up session

Most places out there are after money, Master Shi Yan Hong really spend his time getting to know his students and he doesn't just let anyone in. He would let you try out the class before and evaluate if your kids qualifies for FREE. YEAH FREE. My daughter has been attending his class for over a year now and I see a huge progress. P.S. parents that are bitching that their kids are getting punished simply their kids are messing around in class or not paying attention. Nothing wrong with Master Shi Yan Hong.

Kids love it. Attending for over a year. Highly recommended! Shifu is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. Extremely good with kids. Goes above and beyond caring about teaching shaolin/kung fu. Pictures are of belt ceremony and performance. April 30th 2022.

If your looking for a place to exercise and work your body, this is the right place for you! For many people who don't know what Shaolin is, it's a Martial Arts school that allows you to train kungfu with different type of weapons, forms, and techniques. I've been here for about a decade now and I always find this place enjoying for me to learn kungfu. The master here is really supportive with each student he teaches. If your trying to learn Shaolin kungfu then come join us.

Excellent place to exercise for your kids and adults. Learning is unlimited from health exercise to self defense. I recommend 3 times a week. Give it try and call for more details.

My kids have been students here for many years, and they love attending classes. I can still remember how excited they were when we first started, and practiced on their own at home a lot. Shifu is an excellent teacher and has good repour with the kids. My daughter was pretty clumsy when she was younger, but after a few months here we noticed a big improvement in her balance, and she's become much more athletic over the years. I would highly recommend this school to anyone, whether it's for your kids or even for adults.

After many thousands of dollars I realized my son didn't gain much from it. I came back to this school and enrolled and it's been about 5 months and I have to admit he's learned more in these 5 months than the 3 years at the other school. Not only is he learning much more but his confidence level has improved especially his social skills - being such a shy kid. I see that he actually enjoys and look forward to going to Kung Fu class. I like this school in that it has many instructors so your kid gets the attention as opposed to the old school where's there's too many students and only one instructor. I also like that they teach in Vietnamese where they learn the names of the forms and every move. Even better is their price is cheapest of all schools I've been to, no test fees! I highly recommend this martial school for your kids!

He gained confidence in his abilities at the studio. With the smaller group sizes, it's definitely a more added advantage for focused improvement on form and learning new techniques. Aside from martial arts, there are important values continually being taught - like respect of others, respect of self, kindness, patience, self control, anger management even! The class time seems longer than other places, but it's truly for the kids to get more comfortable with the studio, its equipment and to practice in a safe environment. There is plenty of free time before and after of when the actual instruction begins and a little break in between with healthy snacks. The kids get a kick out of seeing Master Ted rip an apple in half, or a banana without squishing it. Even my daughter, who wasn't taking the class but was allowed to "play and be part" of the class misses going to the studio. It was such a great way for them to burn tons of energy and have so much fun. I wish we could have continued, but our schedules started conflicting and we had to stop going. Thank you Master Ted for giving the gift of learning martial arts.

Was he descent yes as a kung fu master and he was an original grandmaster jimm h woo student but there was a bunch of them around, was he his best no but not bad. Grandmaster Ly Hong Thai knows them and shares them. In fact, maybe he shares too many of them as it it easy to get overwhelmed here but it is a satisfying feeling that there is going to be something new to learn every time you come here. There is so much to learn here that you can actually pick a sub-specialty within the style, nei kung for strength, chi kung for energy and healing, several different fighting specialties even ones designed for specifically females and children. After a while you can also ask to learn about acupuncture, acupressure and herbal medicine and treatments. No matter what style or techniques you prefer, if you come here this undefeated Grandmaster will make you better.

After taking Tae Kwon Do and Aikido, I felt like everything was so systematic and couldn't really prepare me for anything that occurred in real life. Hong-Gia is a Taoist Kung-Fu type of martial arts that was taught in the monasteries on an island off of Vietnam called La Phu Son. The basics of this style are to develop body protection and strength. I've taken a few martial arts but Hong-Gia is the one that never emphasized on how high you kicked or how hard you could break something. Everything is fluid and comes with ease. Breathing is a very important concept to this style. But in the end you could do some amazing damage. It was never a competition in anything..we were taught certain movements and what positions to take if in an uncompromising position. The 10 years I was there, I studied nei kung and qikong. Nei kung gave me strength and qikong gave me focus and better physical and mental health. I also studied the snake style as well as double sword, single sword and dao. I had severe asthma as a kid and after a few years at Hong-Gia, I now live an inhaler-less life! They offer courses for adults and children and at $60 adults, $30 kids a month (you could go unlimited), it really is a good deal. Hong-Gia is taught both in English and Vietnamese and Hong-Gia actually has locations all over the world including Russia. I'm kinda bummed I no longer have time to practice but if you do want to learn a martial arts that isn't all about rules and limitations and you want to learn how to handle/defend yourself in real life situations, Hong-Gia can definitely teach you it!
