Wing Chun is very dynamic it has everyday practical applications that absolutely work. The art was designed for people from all different walks of life and it's extremely easy to learn in my opinion it is the best self defensive arts ever to come from the Shaolin temple, Just take Bruce Lee for example, he was able to incorporate other arts into Wing Chun and it worked very well for him. If you ever want to learn traditional Ip Man Wing Chun, Sifu Scott is that best person to teach you the art!

The one-year membership is a scam - they ignored my decision to cancel and kept texting and pressuring me to go back. When we decided to quit and explained the reason, they required us to first go to his front desk (which they don't even have a front desk) to sign a cancellation form, send a picture of my son, write down he's name and then "buyout" the entire membership. Otherwise, they just kept charging us every single month. All students of all ages are placed in one class, regardless of level. It's not a place to learn, it's a place to waste time and money. Half of the class is listening to the instructor "Sensei" talk. They ignore any reasons you give for wanting to cancel and instead send millions of promotions and discounts in text message. Even tried to teach me how to be a good parents. When that didn't work, they threw the contract in my face and demand that us either buy out the membership or keep paying every month, whether we attend or not. I do not recommend this place, if you read my review, please be cautions when you sign their agreement. There are way better places in Vegas that charge less and teach better. DO NOT BELIEVE what they say.

My daughter has been attending Taekwondo since beginning of this year. We moved from California and…read moremy daughter was in Martial Arts for 2.5 years in CA. I went to several places and when I came to Thompson Taekwondo I felt so welcomed. It felt like I've known them for years. What impressed me was how long he's been doing Martial Arts for and he is very experienced and intelligent. A lot of the places I went to seemed like they were not as experienced and it was so crowded. The most important for me is that my daughter is happy and enjoys it. Kristen is always very experienced and is great with the kids. Taekwondo is something that takes time if you're looking for a change in your kids behavior. One of the reasons I introduced my daughter to Taekwondo is because we were having issues with her behavior. After almost 3 years, I see a HUGE difference. I would highly recommend Master Thompson, you will not regret it. Thank you worth every single penny. Not only does my daughter learn self defense, she also becomes disciplined, and has self confidence and knows how to respond in situations at school. Thank you!

I'm quite pleased with my progress in the art and even more impressed with the people I've come into contact with through my association with WSMAA. I've seen him discuss school behavior and also point out how they have to behave at home. All in all, I'm a very satisfied customer of Warrior Spirit Martial Arts Academy who feels everyone involved reflects positively on me.

I was a student here for 8 years but took one year off for injury. I did succeed in earning my…read morefirst degree black belt while there. When I first started it was great! The beginners class was very structured with a quick 15minute warm up and then you were divided by your level (white, yellow or orange) and the instructors, who were either intermediate or advanced students, would be teaching either basics, forms or techniques for 15 minutes and then rotate so you got instruction in all of the categories and from different instructors. The intermediate class was structured similarly but with 20 minute sections and the instructors were advanced students. Where it started to go downhill was in the advanced class for all the brown and black levels. The owner and head instructor Jones taught that class so it didn't have the same structure. He called it seminar style but I call it boring. By the time I got to that class we actually had more advanced students than beginner and intermediate combined. You would get maybe 20 minutes of actual instruction in this class the rest of the time was usually focusing on one or two techniques and doing them in a technique line. Technique lines are definitely valuable for learning and absolutely should be done but when you're not the one actively participating in it, it gets boring as hell very fast. The only hope to try to learn something as an advanced student was to hope he wasn't teaching that night. Or since we had so few students in the other classes, show up for those and work on something with the other advanced students. This is part of the reason it takes 1 year to advance between the brown ranks and to get to black. Jones himself was an insufferable man to be around. He claimed his teaching style was "old school" and if you made the mistake of becoming an initiate or disciple, you agreed to basically become his slave. He expected you to drop everything to serve him. If you missed a single class, you better have been working because nothing else was acceptable. If he made a mistake on showing a technique and it was pointed out, we all were wrong and he was right. He made his disciples do his personal errands like drop him off and pick up from the airport; clean his pool; do his yard work. I know of at least 4 marriages that ended due to him, including his own and my own. If Jones wasn't involved in the school, it would have been terrific.
