Whenever I travel and see anything Americana, I just have to check it out. Route 66 is a glorified friterie but they had some interesting sounding burgers on the menu. I had a Provenciale, which has a tomatoe-y type sauce with onions and such in it while the ladies in the party had an American burger, which said it came with bacon and eggs. The service was fast, which is always nice. I was also pleasantly surprised that the burgers were made properly, meaning on a grill. Sure, this sounds logical but in Belgium at friteries, the fries, burgers, chicken nuggets and everything else are usually just thrown into a deep fat fryer and made that way. So, for me, it was a tasty burger. The girls weren't as impressed. They expected an American burger with bacon and eggs on it to have strips of bacon and a fried egg, preferably over easy. These had bacon bits, very fatty, and slices of cold hard boiled egg. Ah well, you cannot have everything! Drinks-wise, I had a Jupiler and the ladies a Chimay. There were also soft drinks available. So, a nice place to visit where you can sit across the street from the river watching the pedal boats go by while enjoying some chow.

Worst place ever !!!…read more Short version: Arrogant, unprofessional and aggressive cashier, horrible service, way too pricey for the food/service Long version: That might be the reason why they now (4.6.2017) called it "Le Bellevue". Don't be trapped by the new name (previously called La Tannerie). We (party of 6)arrived when the restaurant was aprox. 80% full and got serviced after around 5min. Then it took them 20 (!) min to serve the drinks. We started to notice that more and more people started complaining as no one had food and they were waiting very long. After 50min I asked them how much longer the food will take and they said another 10min. more than 1 hour after placing the order the first dish arrived and the remaining dishes were served 0ne by one over the next 20min - Moules frites ... burnt to charcoal - Pizza & Meat dished...not fancy but ok Nobody in the Restaurant was leaving without complaining and some were about to call the police. The cashier (lady of color) was one of the most arrogant and aggressive persons i have ever met. Waiters were very nice and incredibly sorry for the long wait the displayed ignorance and unprofessional attitude of their employer. Prices are WAY OFF for the experience. At least nobody of our party had a food poisoning next day. Other observations: Crashing sounds of smashing plates every 10min from the kitchen, Angry customers all over the place, the people at the next table got served a pizza that was sitting on the counter for more than 10min and when they complained it just got heated again ! People of Boullion - take action an ban this horrible place from your town as you are such a nice place
