Sure some things are trending (and that's a good thing) but lots of things are just awesome to have. Of course you are going to find Smokey the Bear.. and the National Parks Project, and all sorts of random hiking and camping things... I didn't say gear here, because this isn't an outfitter, it's a place to make you home, feel like it belongs in the PNW. Also, it's worth saying that the owner is a photographer... and her stuff is worthy of any home. So yes, if you are wondering around Roslyn, you should walk over to this wonderful shop, and wonder, and purchase, because you will walk away one step closer to showing off your PNW style.

The owner, an older lady, and her son, were FULL of Northern Exposure trivia and facts and the son was actually on a few episodes. This place is a MUST SEE if you're a fan of the show. If you are NOT a fan of the show, you might want to go elsewhere because there's nothing terribly unique about this place. BUT, if you want a licensed Northern Exposure t-shirt or hoodie or bumper sticker, this is your place. Note the "Joel Fleishman" is still painted on the front window glass. And Marilyn's office desk and chair are still here. Also, Joel's office is still here, though it's covered with a bunch of crap, posters, etc. so you have to really look for it. My only complaint, is that they need to focus on more Northern Exposure and Rosyln stuff and not sell anything else. People who go here are going to be going here because they are tourists either into local history (the mine, etc.) or Northern Exposure, so why not just cater to that exclusively.

I returned on 3/5/2026, less than 24 hours later, simply to switch the payment to a debit card. The biggest issue wasn't that they couldn't do it -- it was how dismissive and unprofessional the staff were. Three employees were standing together chatting and drinking coffee, and their attitude was essentially, "It's written on the machine, so too bad." There was no courtesy, no effort to help, just a very condescending tone. They also claimed that every store in Leavenworth charges a credit card fee, which was untrue. After visiting many restaurants, galleries, shops, and ice cream stores during my three day trip, this was the only place that did. This ended up being my worst customer service experience in Leavenworth, mainly because of how dismissive the staff were. I would not return.

Cubbies full of different hats made for fun shopping with my parents in July 2017 when we were in downtown for some exploring during one of our family reunions in the area. After taking a hard look at the offerings and dwelling on a Seahawks hat, I decided to go with the Indiana Jones hat. The hat fit my head, nice because my head runs a bit on the large side, and had a large brim, which I find to be helpful for sun protection during geology fieldwork. The price was fair, and the workers helpful. At the time I was concerned the hat may be a bit on the thin side for my purposes. Nope. Almost five years later, the hat is still in great condition. I store it with my handmade Polish sheep/goat-herding hat. They have surprisingly similar structure and dimensions.
