Instead of taking ownership and working toward a fair resolution, I spent months being passed from the local shop to corporate and back again. Communication was inconsistent, and getting straightforward answers was incredibly difficult. Rather than feeling like Safelite was trying to make things right, I felt like I had to do all the work myself--coordinating inspections, speaking with insurance, documenting the damage, and repeatedly following up for answers. The financial impact has been significant, but so has the stress. I've lost countless hours dealing with inspections, phone calls, and trying to protect the value of my vehicle. I also had to continue driving the vehicle while navigating this situation because there were few practical alternatives. My advice to anyone using Safelite is to thoroughly inspect your vehicle before leaving the shop, take detailed photos before and after the work, and don't assume that problems will be handled quickly if something goes wrong. If your vehicle is damaged, document everything immediately and consider obtaining an independent inspection. I understand that mistakes can happen in any business. What disappointed me most wasn't simply that damage occurred--it was how difficult the resolution process became afterward.
