interesting, small business to visit...better yet, buy the Buckeye Red. Van has a passion for his craft and shares it well.

The owner, Brittni, features local artists work as well as her own inside the winery and for an awesome twist on branding, she's labeled each wine selection with her own artwork and named each wine after one of her paintings. The charcuterie boards are delicious and sourced from other local small businesses and the owner regularly has amazing food truck vendors featured at her location. If that's not enough for you, the owner has incorporated all sorts of fun classes and workshops within her business model such as paint and sip, making candela out of old wine bottles, yoga and exercise classes, and monthly bingo as well as ensuring she has local musicians regularly booked on the weekends. I suggest checking out her website for future events, I know I keep my eye on what she's got going on. And I couldn't possibly forget to mention her sweet pup Jax that's often scouring the floor for snacks or snoozing in the corner. The service is amazing, the wine is to die for, the ambiance is spectacular, and it's clear that Brittni has poured her heart and soul into Cote Winery, quite literally. As a regular customer, I can honestly say that Mt. Gilead is lucky to have Cote Winery as an addition to the local wineries surrounding Ohio.

My wife and I were looking for something to do while in Mount Gilead and came across this winery…read more At first, we are very well impressed. Very chic and trendy. Kind of amazing for the area. We perused the menu and ordered our wines. A flight of red for me and a next flight for my wife. We also ordered a charcuterie and cheese plate. Wines poured and we started to enjoy them. Must say the wines were very nice. The Reds were very fruity and I really enjoyed their unoaked Chardonnay. All very drinkable! And then our charcuterie and cheese plate was delivered. It was all prepackaged and needed to be cut up. I guess you can't should've been the menu that it was going to be different. I can honestly say I was not keen to it, hence the 3 stars. Perhaps it's just me, but after all I dislike salad bars and cutting bread at my table.

My wife and I enjoyed a flight each, some dinner, and some glasses of wine out on their patio…read morerecently. I appreciated that the tables were well spaced on the patio, and the fact that it wasn't too busy helped us get a table outdoors immediately. The owner gave some wine recommendations based on what we typically enjoy, allowed my wife to try some of the wine shake, and was very attentive in general. I really appreciate how many different wines we were able to try (we shared our flights to maximize tastes) and found plenty that we liked. Our food was great too! We had a soft pretzel for an appetizer, then a cheese pizza for me and fish and chips for my wife. We enjoyed it all. There was plenty of pizza for me, but the fish and chips was a smaller portion than we expected, but for the low cost, it was very reasonable. The appetizer was necessary to make it a full meal, but we felt it was all worth the price for the value and the quality of food. We didn't bring the kids this time, but quickly realized with the casual patio atmosphere and the kid friendly items like pizza and soft pretzel, it would work well for them to come have dinner with us while we taste some more! In conversing with the owner, he reassured us that they are family friendly, so if we want to bring the kids, we're welcome to do so. We look forward to bringing some friends and our families back!

The owner was the one who took care of us and was very nice and helpful when it came to picking out wines. We ordered the Caprese Toast for an appetizer and I ordered the pepperoni calzone, mom got the meatball sub. The food was extremely delicious. This is a quaint little place with a homey vibe. Overall I would recommend stopping in.
