I have been in the plumbing trade for 30 years. I have used shamrock for years on multiple houses with no issues. I'm writing this review to possibly help someone avoid a problem. technician showed up stuck hose into septic tank started the truck suction then went and sat in the truck. (Usually they monitor and work the hose around to get as much solids as possible). my previous paperwork Showed I have a 1000 gal tank guy said he got 1300 gal. He proceeded to back flush that putting some hopefully mostly liquid back in then he changed the hose back to suction and attempted to move the hose around sucking out the back flush only to find out the hose was stuck. there is nothing in a tank other than a baffle to keep solids on one side of the tank. All I can figure is by not monitoring the hose an excessive amount of hose went into tank and somehow got stuck on the baffle. The guy Fought with the hose for about 45min pulling and twisting. It finally broke loose. After removing hose I could see it was a little more than half a hose length (seemed like a lot for 1000 gal tank). Guy said he was afraid to put hose back in to remove back flush but would only charge me for 1000gal not 1300gal. I think this situation could have been avoided. So I paid for a partial pumping and possibly damaged baffle. read more

After Royal flush acted like idiots, we called shamrock, that was a great decision! Juan showed up exactly when they said he would. He pumped the tank with no issues. These people are very very professional and do what they say they will do. I won't use anyone else. We have ours pumped twice a year and shamrock is our choice. Septic Pumpers are big business in Alaska where most people have septic tanks. Some of the fun names in the business are JR's Pooper Pumper, Turdinator, and Royal Flush (with the playing cards on the side). We picked Shamrock because they put up super huge, cool holiday displays outside their business on Halloween & Christmas that the kids and I never miss!!! Phil, the foreman, did our tank. He left us with a detailed information sheet telling us what the problems were and what was okay about our septic system. He also gave us advice on what toilet paper we should use and what the best toilets are, as we are planning to replace ours in our 26 year old house. Not only are these guys "Johnny On the Spot", even if you call them on a Sunday night expecting to leave a message, they answer the phone. Sort of embarassing at 10 pm but they were still all business. They are priced competitively from around $200-300. read more

6 months after they pumped my septic tank there was a clog and sewage was leaking all over my tenant's back deck and garden. I had two professionals assess the situation, who both said it looks like it's been well over a year since it was last pumped. After venting to a coworker, he asked if I used Shamrock Septic. Apparently they're known for not pumping the full tank and leaving behind solids. I called them to discuss it, but the office manager was rude and unprofessional. We live in a two story building that is about 10 years old. One day for some random reason, the septic vents started overflowing. We called them in, they cleaned out the septic and recommended on a course of action that helped fix the problem. They have good customer service and if they can't fix it, they will tell you who can. If I could give NO stars- I WOULD!!! Our family had an emergency on a Saturday night- granted it was 10:30 pm and it seems late, but if you need them after hours they are NOT willing to be there for you. This company WAS our usual company: not ANY MORE!! We are going with another one! Good bye shamrock!! What a shame!!!!!! It was the middle of winter! Our drains started to back up. We snaked the drains first, this didn't help. We called several septic companies here in the valley and were told they do not come out in the winter. We called SHAMROCK SEPTIC SERVICE, and the lady on the phone told us no trouble, she would get someone out the same day. And they did, not only did they come out, the technician helped us dislodge a huge blockage which was causing the backup. Scamrock...I've used them over the years and couldn't say they were great, but got the job done. This last time I had my wife make the arrangements and after a lot of run around and they missed their own appointment they demanded on they finally showed up and got the job done. When I reviewed the bill after getting home, found that they charged me for a 1200 gal tank...and we have a 1000 gal tank. When I called them on it they were full of all kinds of lame excuses, and it took threatening them with legal action for them to final adjust my bill. Found them to be rude, with a dishonest demeanor...Never again! read more
