Established in 2020.

Shamrock Home Improvement is a unique business. It was started in 2020, going solo after decades of experience working for other contractors. The owner struggled with substance abuse problems and found recovery in 2011. He then went to school to become a certified "Recovery Coach" (similar to a substance abuse counselor). While wanting to remain in the Home Improvement industry, he also wanted to incorporate his Recovery Coach training as well. Knowing the immediate need in this industry for Recovery Coaches as this industry suffers with a huge substance abuse problem, he incorporated the two and created Shamrock Home Improvement. We work exclusively with people who are in recovery at least 1 year and skilled in the trades. It gives them a positive outlet for the day where they can use their skills and they are supported as well. Shamrock was nominated by the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce in 2021 for their creating change award in recognition of their efforts!

Hello! My name is Nik, I'm the owner of Shamrock Home Improvement. We specialize in ALL things home improvement. "From driveways to drywall, we got ya covered!" As our motto states.. I personally have been in recovery from alcoholism for 13 years now, so I began this company with that in mind. Knowing the great need for substance abuse treatment in this industry, as MANY in this industry struggle with substance abuse. I went back to school and became a "Recovery Coach" in 2018 (a form of substance abuse counselor) to better serve the community. Everyone employed at Shamrock Home Improvement is in recovery. Giving them a positive outlet for the day as we work together on goals both on and off the job. Allowing them to use their talents in a positive, substance abuse free environment!
