She asked him to put her purchases on the counter while she looked at something else. My son was looking at the candy. The owner (manager) told him to stop touching things and proceeded to tell my mother, who asked what the fuss was, that she was banning my son from the store. My mother stated that this was her grandson and that she had shopped there for years. The owner (manager) insinuated or assumed (I'm not sure which) that she and my son were from the nearby trailor court and implied that they were trash. She then told my mother that she could put back her purchases. Mother told her where exactly she lived. She got no apology from the owner (manager); she got grudgingly passed off to the cashier. The staff is usually passingly friendly, even when busy. The owner should know one of the basic rules of business: treat all your customers equally and assume nothing about them until you know them. She should also know that the customer is always right. I am, to put it politely, strongly discouraged from returning to this establishment.

I called and emailed several times and they kept promising me it had shipped. Finally I asked for my money back and received it back. I never did get that rug. I overlooked several "mistakes", such as receiving the wrong color item, not getting the "door prize" that I was promised. Just be careful when ordering and when the order is wrong or doesn't show up, keep calling and emailing them. I now purchase directly from "the shopping channel" and haven't had any problems.
