This is the first review I have ever left on a business. I never really take the time to do this, however I feel it is my moral obligation to inform future customers about the shammy shine in Nazareth/tatamy. I got a wash to get salt off of my truck and always wash my running boards at drive through washes. I never had a problem until going to Shammy. I guess they call it shammy because not only was the wash shabby but it also broke my cast metal running boards. The attendants were not paying attention to hit the emergency stop button. When I saw the aftermath, one worker said we will fully cover this. Only to find out the manager Nick said I was misinformed by his employee and that there is nothing they can do. He replied that his workers are young and you can never believe young kids. I then asked what's the point of your incident report if you can do nothing about it? He explained it's just a formality. I used to be a good customer there. Never again will I go since he didn't even offer to give me a refund on the wash that left my truck not only damaged but full of suds from the wash that never rinsed my truck. I spoke with the regional manager Kevin and I'm not surprised at the lack of empathy. There is obviously no self accountability in this business. If you have a vehicle that will need a wash. Do not waste your time, you'll end up with a damaged vehicle. read more

I went through the car wash on Airport Rd yesterday. Immediately after I left I noticed a fresh scratch on the paint and chrome on my van. Right away I went back to the car wash, showed the scratch and told them it was not there before the car wash. I had to come back today to talk to the manager. We reviewed the video of cars going into the wash several times. There was clearly no scratch on my van as it went in the car wash. The manager said that didn't prove anything and there was no way it could have occurred in the car wash. There was no scratch as I went into the car was (their clear video evidence!) but was immediately upon coming out. Shammy Shine should make this right. The manager refused to accept responsibility. I have been through the wash many times with no problem, and would like to go back, but when they won't take responsibility for something that their wash clearly caused I can no longer go back. read more

My car was 2 days old. I asked the gentleman to please make sure I was properly situated to avoid damage. He gave me a dirty look. I told him it was a brand new car and asked if he would help.me. He refused to look down and stared at me in defiance as if to say ____ ___ lady. Half way they the car wash I felt a bump. I yelled for help. The police came. There was no damage to my bumper or the gentleman in front of me. The police agreed. The guy in front of me said my neck hurts and called a lawyer. I ain't going to go into that. Back to review. The owner or attendant whoever that guy was was arrogant unhelpful and I think disrespectful of wen. On three occasions I had the $16.00 car wash and all three times I came out with black streaks on the car from the black bristle brushes. On the third and final time I noticed that the back of my Explorer hadn't even been touched and was still dirty. I sent an email to the office and received no message of any kind. I am have been a member of their unlimited carwash club which is $19.99 a month for about a year now. Personally I think that's a good deal since the average car wash is around $10-12...so with 2-3 washes a month you get your money's worth. These washes are also the old skool cloth washes which I think does a better job than the spray washes. I also like how they have 7 or 8 locations. That makes in convenient. They also have free vacuums. So all in all I like this place. read more

I've been coming here for years. I decided to go on a day that had surprisingly good weather for February. It was extremely busy as expected since we all wanted to get the salt off our cars. I went through the wash and was stuck in a group of cars in the lit afterward. I wanted to use a vacuum. I was told by the person that worked there to "keep moving because I'm backed up." I find it unacceptable that I pay for a wash and can't use a vacuum because this establishment allowed too many cars in to begin with. read more

I went to this location this morning to wash my car. I pull in slowly to the wash facility so as not to damage my vehicle. The attendant starts screaming at me to "GO GO"! There was no one behind me. I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely at one of these facilities. They obviously do not care about providing a satisfactory customer experience. I would not ever return here. read more

Either the attendant or their wash system broke the rear wiper on my car. Now they arent picking up the phone when I call.

Pretty good for automatic wash, not perfect. Generally happy with the result but often some trace unclean around mirrors etc. Free vacuums and trash bags are a nice touch. read more

I went through the Shammy Shine Car wash on Linden St in Bethlehem on Saturday only to have my car covered in light horizontal scratches to the clear coat, ruining the finish on the car. The car had no such scratches before and the area effected is identical to the path of the side rotating brushes, with no scratches in the center of the front bumper where they do not come into contact. Close inspection shows that ice, sand and stones have packed into crevices in the grill. The side brushes were packed frozen with debris, and could even be heard as I was going through. This car wash operates at temperatures not capable of safely cleaning your car and should be avoided during the winter at a minimum. The manager running the facility denies responsibility despite the obvious facts laid before him. What else would cause perfectly laying horizontal abrasive type scratches on the sides of the vehicle?!? Main facility wont return my phone call. Please make this right Shammy Shine... read more

Was eager to try this place out due to its high reviews compared to competitors in the area. My car was fed through this dirty dark tunnel where it was pummeled by machines as the illusion of a good clean was presented. My car was soaking wet as I pulled out of the wash - free vacuums though .... I got home and examined that I still had a dirty yet somewhat cleaner car. Don't waste the money. read more

Car wash is NOT a laser wash which means that it actually does what you pay it to and washes your car. For the very reasonable charge of $6.60 you can run your car through and leave knowing that it was not the equivalent of just flushing the money down the toilet.The guys that work here are very nice and keep things moving even on those crazy days when the weather starts getting nice. I would recommend their unlimited car wash deal that's $20.00 a month. If you or your other half are crazy about having a clean car then it will be well worth it. Plus, you can still add those extra services if you decide to each time you take your car through the wash. read more

I had my car washed at the Shammy Shine Car Wash and ordered the basic wash after a fuel attendant spilled diesel all over my car. Given the cold weather temperatures I took my car to the local car wash. When I had gotten home and parked in the garage, I noticed scratches all over the hood and passenger side of my car. The damage went from the front all the way to the rear of my brand new car. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in this result. I called the car wash to complain and the first thing they said was "did your husband look at it." I felt very insulted by the sexist comment. I proceeded to take the car immediately to the car wash for them to assess the damage. They agreed that they would buff the car on the side that the damage was done at no cost to me "out of kindness." I set up an appointment for the work and no one showed up to the appointment. I then proceeded to call and leave messages several times without response. Eventually someone answered the call and I was able to reschedule only to have another no show. At this point I was exhausted by the run around and took the car for a full exterior detail including full car buff at a local detailing establishment (who did a fantastic job!). Thankfully, the scratches did not penetrate beyond the clear coat, so no repainting was required. However, this cost me $125 in addition to the $6 car wash. I will never take a car to the Shammy Shine again. Instead I will use Zippy's in Bethlehem who does hand washes for $7 per car. read more
