Good food, fast service, what you would expect from a typical pizza place. This location was clean at the time we were there. No complaints!

We went to dinner @ Shakey's Pizza, partially because it was walking distance & partially because my brother in laws grandkids like Shakey's. Shakey's is also a family oriented restaurant, unfortunately the food isn't very good. He ordered a family meal that came w/a Cesar salad, 2 pizzas, 2 plates of chicken w/potato's fried & 2 plates of pasta. 1 pasta carbonara & 1 w/marinara sauce, 2 plates of garlic bread, & mozzarella sticks. I don't mean to be rude but the food really sucked to a point where I didn't even want to eat it. * Cesar Salad was so soggy it was barely edible. * Fried Chicken was so overcooked, dry & tough to eat * Pasta Carbonara was very mediocre & not very good * Pasta Marinara was bland * Shakeys Pizza -pepperoni was too salty. The other pizza sausage, green pepper, onion & tomato was ok. The crust on both was super thin. I would have to say this was probably the worst meal I had in my month of travel in Japan & the Philippines. Next time I will pass if they eat at Shakey's Pizza. We ordered at Shakey's Loyola Hts. I was told that our order should arrive in 30-45 minutes. After ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES LATER, our order finally arrived. I asked why our orders arrived late. I told the delivery guy that the Shakey's Operator even called me to verify my orders and my address. They even told me that ny order should arrive in 30-45 minutes. The delivery guy insisted that he's not late. I looked at the receipt and it was indicated that my order was placed in their system at 8:13PM and yet the driver kept on insisting that he's not late. SMDH!! My fellow consumers, beware! Teach SHAKEY'S A LESSON! IF THEY DELIVER YOUR ORDER LATE, REFUSE TO PAY! They are advertising that when your order is delivered late, it's FREE! So make sure that they are accountable and hold their part of the bargain! read more

Shakey's has always have had a reputation as the restaurant for families and groups of friends to hang out, dine together, and have fun. This particular branch's environment is a good example of how a restaurant caters to the needs of people of different interests, although some elements indicate that this branch is oriented towards a younger clientele. Once you enter through the door, you will be immersed in a lively atmosphere. There are two dining areas in the establishments: the main dining area for walk-in customers, and an area usually reserved for parties. Televisions are set-up around the restaurant that broadcasts sporting events, especially NBA games, and music videos. An arcade is also set-up for the kids and the young at heart. There is also a mini-bar in the establishment, although I am not quite sure as to the selection of beverages in this area. Shakey's Katipunan also serves foods that will satisfy everyone. Their signature thin crust provides a unique yet delicious twist to some classic (i.e. cheese, Hawaiian) and new (i.e. pepperoni crunch) pizza flavors. Its chicken 'n mojos (or at times, just the mojos) also remain popular to people of all ages, and its pasta dishes will fill appetites, especially when served for groups. My major criticism about this branch, though, is the speed of its service. I have experienced plenty of instances where it takes me at least 30 minutes, or even an hour and a half, to receive my ordered meals, whether it is for dine-in, take-out, or delivery. It is also difficult at times for my young companions to play at the arcade as no one is manning the area most of the time. While this particular branch has its flaws, the orientation of Shakey's Katipunan towards the youth does not take away from its family- or group-friendly brand reputation, and this restaurant is a good option for groups of people spending good time together with a satisfying meal. read more

This happened two Sundays ago, when I came to cheer a friend of a friend, in a Kick Boxing competition at the UFC Gym, located inside the mall. Win, or lose, my mates and I, decided to dine at a Shakey's restaurant, at their branch in Robinson's Galleria, Ortigas. I recall, we were more than ten guys, and we were there for the delicious Pizza of Shakey's. By the time the server was about to place the white ceramic plates in front of each seated customer on our table, a cockroach suddenly appeared, and hurriedly crawled on one of the white ceramic plates, and flew/ jumped to the garlic bread basket, and ran on the surface of the table, in front of us. To get things more interesting, the server, just brushed off the cockroach, that landed on the floor, and vanished, without a trace. The Manager heard about our complain, and only apologized for the incident, and she (the manager) did nothing else, to calm us down. Since it was a health/ sanitary issue, we were expecting to our bill to be waived. Just like in the U.S.A. The way I see it, food customers here in the Philippines are not treated well, compared in the U.S. In the U.S., we usually report complains online, or for help with Restaurant food problems, we immediately call the Health Department in our city. The sad fact is, probably, the owners already know about this, and are not doing anything about it. I think Shakey's yung most visited restaurant ko in Katipunan since college! (Hello kapwa-Knollers!!!) Bumibisita kami ng family ko once every 2 weeks siguro at kahit walang menu alam ko na agad order ko girl! (Makabida na naman daw ako parang "Wala ka sa lolo ko..." lang eh) Isang papabol with Banana Split, Bottomless abs at extrang pagmamahal with gravy para yummy. Choz! What I love about Shakey's? First, spacious siya kaya very comfy kahit groups kayong pupunta. Second, may TV!!! (Gusto ko lang magrequest minsan kung pwede bang ilipat kapag oras na ng teleserye) Third, gusto ko yung servers nila! (Pero hindi rin naman lahat ha. May ibang sobrang bait at maasikaso talaga pero meron din yung sakto lang parang hindi man lang nagandahan sa akin choz) Fourth, may WiFi! Sa panahon ngayon kasi WiFi = Tambay! Fifth, merong Fun Zone!!! Gustong-gusto ko ng arcade kaya tuwang-tuwa ako na may ganto sa Shakey's baby! The ultimate family-friendly restaurant, no doubt about it. I still don't quite understand why Shakey's decided to "young-ify" its whole brand identity but hey, as long as it serves its classics and stay the way of quality, then they can do whatever they want. Delivery or dine-in, Shakey's always tends to be one of my more favorite places to eat when on a budget. They also have better pizza compared to its local counterparts and they keep on delivering new and exciting pizza flavors even. The latest is their Cheese Steak Pizza and I have to say it's fast becoming my favorite pizza of theirs. The tender and flavorful beef slices with generously drizzles cheese? It's pretty terrific. It's nearly replacing Pizza Bianca in my Shakey's heart but hey, Pizza Bianca is still in the top of the list. And who can forget their Mojos right? I think no words are needed when it comes to their Mojos. read more

I've been a loyal Shakey's customer for years. I've had them deliver to my home many, many times. But the last few times they've been very difficult to work with. Tonight was the last straw. I ordered online - and paid online with my credit card (the same one I have always used online and in the stores). I immediately received confirmation for my order by email. Then, 20 minutes later, I got another email saying my credit card was "under investigation" and they cancelled my order. So, I ordered again, this time saying I would pay when they get here. Again, I immediately received confirmation of my order, and again, 20 minutes later, my order was canceled via email. I attempted to call them using two different telephone lines and the call wouldn't go through. I emailed again, instructing them to CALL ME, and they simply texted that my order was canceled due to "other." I'm through. If this is how they treat LOYAL, REGISTERED customers, they deserve to go out of business - and the sooner, the better. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY ARE SLOW TO DELIVER, AND IF YOU ARE AN INCONVENIENCE, THEY WOULD RATHER BOOT YOUR ORDER. Order from someone else. There are a lot of good pizza chains here. This isn't one of them. read more

Perhaps people have become accustomed to the "thick crust" pizza that we get at most pizza places. Shakey's, on the other hand, is well-known for providing customers with a "thin crust" pizza that can be as crisp and delectable as any of the overstuffed counterparts that you may see from its competitors. While a bit pricey compared to other pizza chains that sell their dishes en masse as cheaply as possible, the quality of pizza here is supreme. Their ability to make pizzas and to keep the family-friendly atmosphere going for younger audiences make Shakey's a very attractive option for birthday parties and other celebrations. Indeed, one can see how this particular chain attracts all sorts of people from all walks of life to partake in a delicious helping of one of their pizzas. A slice of life, if you will? Pardon the pun, but when you need to make it a great experience, you'll want to give Shakey's a try! Even before Shakey's became one of my go-to restaurants for celebrations with the block in college (e.g. birthdays, "despedidas" before spending a term abroad, last math long test for the semester, etc.), I'd been going to Shakey's ever since I was a kid. It's one of the most family friendly restaurants around, and I don't think it ever deals too big a blow on your wallet. While I adore their thin crust pizza that's always full of flavor, their thick crust deserves some recognition as well. One thing though that I've noticed about Shakey's is that their chicken always seems to be too salty (so much so that I sometimes don't bother with the skin) and that their pastas are on the bland side, which is such a shame. Their Katipunan branch is huge and comfy, and while it gets full at times, I've never found the service unsatisfactory. One time I actually studied here with my friend until early in the morning! It was a pretty conducive environment, especially since it gets quiet in the mornings and there aren't a lot of 24 hour establishments along Katipunan. read more
