That's only because I grew up in the Chicago area where bad pizza is hard to find. Ever since Marsala's went out of business, "ok" pizza was the only choice we had. Well, I like Lucas. The sauce is good, they did finally get a good crust, although I don't think it is hand tossed, it's consistently cooked properly. The sauce and fresh ingredients is what makes a pizza. Proper proportions of toppings, fast service add to the experience. It's my choice every time I get to make the decision. Sometimes my wife likes to go somewhere else and that's the only time I deviate (keep the peace) There are occasions where the crust needs to be covered more to avoid too much dry crunch. I forgive this as good pizza is hard to find in Stoughton. I realize that everyone is accustomed to the food they grew up with and other places suit them just fine. But for a guy that grew up with some of the best pizza in the USA, Luca's is as close as you can get to my home.
