Thanks Alby L. for this recommendation. What a cute little cafe in the middle of quite a run down…read morequiet street. They have such interesting items on the menu and with monthly specials that give you a reason to come back for more. On my first visit I tried the Chilli Bacon spaghetti: 2 poached eggs, bacon, kale, dried chilli, cashew croutons & Parmesan Boy you knew when they were cooking your dish. Definitely time to cough up some chilli smell. So I always tend to do this to myself and order a pasta dish thinking they all come with sauce but this was the oil based kinda of spaghetti which was a bit disappointing. It did taste pretty good though but was a monsterous size and topped with 2 runny eggs. Mmmm so good but I was stuffed from it. On the second visit I tried the Green Curry Chicken Burger and the special of the month, Sriracha-Honey Fried chicken, Parmesan waffles, greens & beetroot purée. The Green Curry Chicken Burger tastes exactly as it sounds but was very tasty. The waffles probably weren't parmesany enough for me to notice and while the chicken was nice I couldn't really taste any sriracha which was a bit disappointing. If you live in the area I noticed they have buy 6 coffees get one free which is a pretty sweet deal too. Anyway I can't wait to return back to this place and try out more of their awesome menu!

I recommend the pitaya bowl personally, as it's presentation and cool refreshing taste are something that the more bouji cafes of inner Sydney should aspire to. I could not recommend Little Alley Cafe highly enough, and encourage anybody to give this wonderful meeting place a try. You will not be disappointed!

Undeniable the BESTEST coffee in Hurstville. Absolutely hands and knees down…read more They have a pretty cool interior made from wood with a funky graffiti artwork at the back wall as a feature. I'm also guessing they call themselves 18 grams because each double shot of coffee is precisely 18 grams? You know if a place is confident with their coffee if they serve it unconventionally. What I mean here is styles you won't get at a standard cafe. For example, cold drip, siphon etc... This place has everything. They also know some cool finishing touches that gets people coming back for more. During launch they gave out free coffee - a full coffee card. Being the snobby me I declined the card (I actually didn't know what they were giving out to be honest ...). But when I went there the first time they gave me a loyalty card with the first row all stamped meaning my next coffee was on them! Awesomeness #1. I love cookies and every coffee has a cookie on it! Awesomeness #2 ... I was sold. And what's Awesomeness #3? Their coffee :)

No booking is required which is good. Can be a little hard to find as it's not on street eye level…read morebut the name is at the front. Food was good. I had a vegetarian omelette which was very tasty. It came with zucchini and was lovely. The dishes and cups were lovely and dainty. Service was also quick and checked on us to make sure all was fine. Couple of things I didn't enjoy was the coffee. Not sure of the brand but I found it strong but that's my opinion as you may love the coffee. The other is that they advertise an Aussie breakfast but with no bacon. I found a lot of the cafes in Bankstown do not serve bacon.

Glacage is a venue that would be aptly described as a "hidden gem". Minimal signage, and located at…read morethe back of a residential block beside a Thai Restaurant, you'd have to know it was there to visit. It was, and is, a very busy place. Therefore, it has a good name to it in the community and surrounds. We can certainly see why. Everything was absolutely on point. The space is rustic, wooden panelled walls and wooden tables, some with mosaic tiles. Seats are made plush with cushions and the space is decorated with bird cages and bunches upon bunches of flowers. This styling makes it feel homely and comfortable. The space is large, with a few seated spaces, so you could certainly take a group there. Order at the counter, and you can select from the wide menu or something small (and sweet from the glassed display shelf). The menu is superb and we could have ordered so many things - healthy açai bowls, to eggs benny, brekkie boards, French toast or waffles, it's a shame we could only fit three things in our bellies! Glacage has three brekkie boards to choose from: the Glacage, Aussie and Mediterranean. We went for the Mediterranean - a generous service of chorizo, haloumi, mushroom, eggs, olives and more! A healthy brekkie that is certainly possible to share. Sautéed mushrooms on toasted sourdough, with truffled mayonnaise, steamed asparagus, and crunchy poached eggs, topped with micro herbs. The mayo was divine and we really enjoyed the truffle flavour to the dish. We would 100% order this time and time again. We also couldn't go past the strawberry cheesecake waffles for a sweet choice to end the meal. The crunchy waffles were topped with and a granola crumb. A must order for those with a sweet tooth. Coffee by St Ali Coffee Roaster, fresh juices, smoothies and more, you will find a drink to suit your meal. We went for a coffee and chai which were both lovely blends. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable, and you will feel very welcome here. Add it to your list of places to visit soon!

Seating: Inside seating plenty of tables. Great for groups both small and large. Room for about 50 people. Vibes: Penshurst is a lovely area. It's proximal to the Royal National Park and to the city! The spot itself is a balance of a neighborly area but also surrounded by other businesses. The place is pretty nice. Very artsy with plants and ornaments. The news station is playing in the background if you're into that stuff. Great family-friendly place or casual place to catch up with a friend or get work done. FOOD: Flat White Coffee (Recommend) A signature Australian drink. Espresso, water, and microfoam milk to top it off. It was a simple drink with an excellent earthy quick and a mildly creamy and sweet touch with the foam. Salt and Pepper Squid Salad (Recommend) Another local dish and it was delicious. A good amount of squid was well-battered and crunchy. Pretty salty and not too peppery. The salad and vinegar dressing had a nice touch, and the onions provided a nice kick. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Chris was great! He was a helpful and friendly dude. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Awesome! This place brought a pleasant first impression. I enjoyed the wide menu range, the good food, and the reasonable prices. I do hope to come back here again during my stay. The food is reliable and I'm curious to try more items on their food menu. TIPS: * Well-rounded place for breakfast, lunch, and dessert!
