Went here with my husband for some Saturday chill time. This place just opened up a few weeks ago, so we thought we'd try it out. It's a very nice place :)
The decor is kind of beachy in theme, and the inside is pretty spacious. We had no trouble popping out the drawing supplies (for me) and math books (for him) to relax with some coffee and food while we work on our hobbies; we weren't cramped at all with all that stuff out. They also have a couple tables outside on the street if you want to enjoy the fresh air.
I have to say, the staff were so great. It seems like it's a family-run business, and you can tell they've really got their hearts in it. They were super friendly and really genuine, and very helpful when it came to choosing menu items. I found the service to be quite good in general. Very pleasant and helpful.
The food & drinks were good, too ^_^ We had some empanadas, with chorizo and beef fillings (respectively) and they were really good - especially the chorizo one. We also had some carrot cake with coffee icing, and it was so tasty! That icing was delicious, especially. I had a butterscotch latte and my husband had a flat white, and while I wouldn't say it's the *best* coffee I've had, it *was* pretty good. They make the food there themselves, which is pretty cool.
Mainly the only area I saw for improvement was that the menu didn't list all the items available, so it was a little confusing trying to pick what you wanna eat, cos some stuff on display didn't have labels or pricing, and they weren't on the big chalkboard menu. So yeah, that could probably be improved. It'd be nice if they offered things like chai lattes or matcha tea lattes, as well. I suppose it's possible that they do and they just weren't on the menu :P
So yeah, this place is really cute, with friendly staff and good food and coffee. I know we'll be going back again for sure, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to chill & enjoy some nice food & drinks :) read more
