This is one of Bristol's two main milkshake bars, the other being Shake King in Broadmead. Personally I slightly prefer ShakeKing, though it's hard to put my finger on why exactly. Getting served seems to take a bit longer at Shaken Stevens, but the decor as a bit nicer and more homely. It's also a little bit more expensive.
However the basic principle- choose any one of 150 ingredients, and they stick it in a blender with some milk and ice cream- is still the same, and as long as you choose the right ingredient, you can't really go wrong.
My favourite milkshakes are still (and you may be a bit disgusted at the thought of some of these but trust me, they definitely work): Refreshers; Extra Strong Mints; Lime & Orange Tic Tacs; Caramac, and bubblegum.
