Okay so we've heard so many things about shake shack from just about every group of friends and relatives that we have. I'm so glad we found people with such excellent set of taste buds. Obviously there's nothing that can go wrong with you burger and fries, but no experience taught me that yes, there are food joints who ruins this notion. Shake Shack unfortunately was far from a disappointment. We had their Shack Stack which oh my gosh may let you forget your name. It was wow in your mouth, the perfect balance of meat and mushroom crunch with the cheese oozing out yum! (wipe, wipe). I don't think I would be looking at the other menu seeing that this is so good already though I know I must , eventually try the other stuff. I'm so glad, they have other varieties for those that doesn't eat beef culturally. We had ordered a Chick n' Shack for this special lady and she loved it as much as we loved our burgers. Winner Winner indeed!. Cheese Fries for my son was a goner in minutes. This place being strategically located in one of the biggest outlet mall is constantly brimming with people so seating may be hard especially for large groups (2 families of4), best if you split up and I mean split up on seating, split up someone line up to hunt for food while other scout for their caves - I mean seats. It's every man for himself type of crowd. We managed to get tables for each family to seat together which was good. By and by, I would want to eat here again. Better if a branch opens near our location. At least in the same Province?

Whole30 compliant burger. Tomato, hamburger, lettuce.

I stopped by today when I overheard a colleague mention that they were serving customers. It excited me even more when I saw vegan dogs and sausage on the menu! I got the Vegan Hot Dog combo which comes with fries, sauerkraut and a fountain drink. I subbed my waffle fries for sweet potato fries for an additional $1. For the whole meal, it was roughly $21 with tip and tax. Being in a mall food court, I wasn't expecting that hefty of a price. However, if we're being real, it was one of the most delicious hot dogs I've ever eaten. The roll was buttered and had some sweetness to it. Fries were super crispy and hot. I even had the employee making my food walk my tray over to the table I was seated at. She smiled and said, "I hope you enjoy it!". The staff were friendly and extraordinarily welcoming. I peeped the homemade vegan cookies and carrot cake (my fave) so I will be back to try those. This is not an everyday lunch spot but I'm looking forward to several visits when I feel like treating myself.

Now Yelp has added this business with no reviews to the right place so I cut and pasted my original review here. Hope it stays. So I was walking to the Reading Terminal Market (see my Review!) and cut through the Fashion District. Lo and behold, The Little Hot Dog Wagon was open! I've seen the sign up for a while and was anticipating the opening, which happened to be today. I wanted to try the place out, but today is a Friday in Lent and I don't do vegan meat which they offer. However, they had a "Wild Caught Salmon Burger" which definitely fit the bill for me. Being opening day, there were a lot of staffers making the orders and all were friendly if not a little discombobulated being the first day and the oil in the machine of running a restaurant was not fully smoothed out yet. But, even with the minor headaches of semi-long waits and orders delivered out of order everyone was excited to have a new opportunity within the food court. I ordered what turned out to be the most expensive item on the menu as it was the combo meal of the Wild Caught Salmon Burger. It came with waffle fries, sauerkraut, and a choice of water or soda. I was hoping to get the special pineapple lemonade but was unable to substitute and was not paying an additional $5 for it. Others were in large numbers, though. I got my meal to go, and once back to my office was prepared to see how good the food was. The waffle fries ended up being quite cold and bland. But, the Salmon Burger was outstanding! Huge pieces of salmon coupled with the lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a decent bun made my lunch so good. I was full and happy. Additionally, the sweet sauerkraut was excellent, too. They promote it as a special to them recipe and you can buy jars of it if you wish. I should have. I hope to see the long lines continue for this newest business and would like to try the hot dogs or fried chicken sandwich someday. A bit on the expensive side for lunch as a combo. $22.98 for the salmon burger, fries, kraut, and water. If I got the salmon burger alone it would be $13 before taxes, so $10 for fries and a water with kraut doesn't seem like a deal although it is about a $4 savings if priced à la cart if I had a soda. Best of luck to The Little Hot Dog Wagon!

My friends, family, and coworkers worry about me and my yearning for this burger in my life. I think truly part of the reason why I wouldn't mind living in Philly is because of this burger. I'd argue that part of the reason I'd come back to Philly (and am planning on doing) is the food. This city has it on lockdown, and Luckys is in the top for me.

When I seen that Lucky's Last Chance won best burger 3 times I knew I had to try lucky's award winning PB&J burger. Walking into Lucky's, you're immediately engulfed with the iconic Dive Bar ambiance. This style option defines your experience, good vibe, good food. Our server was very friendly, fit the vibe, explained the menu and seasonal options well. As for the burger, patties cooked perfectly juicy. I must say, one would think that Peanut Butter does not go with burgers. This is an extremely wrong opinion, an old way of thinking if you must. Not really sure how to explain it, peanut butter was a perfect replacement for mayo. Drizzling the Raspberry jelly was truly the best way to go. Just as important, the bun was local and fresh, while holding up to the weight of this sandwich. I can see why this burger and Lucky's won best burger multiple times. If I ever have the luxury of visiting Lucky's Last Chance again. I may sneak in some Jalapeño jelly and give it a try!

I happened to be in the area for a meeting and said I just had to stop and get one of my favorites from Bubby's - the chicken cutlet hoagie. You watch the plentiful cutlets being breaded on the spot before being fried and placed in the hoagie roll with any trimmings and cheese you may want. They also do awesome Philly cheesesteaks, hot sausages, hot dogs, and you name the breakfast sandwich and he can probably make it. They also have the sides like fries or onion rings. Or maybe oatmeal or grits. The homemade lemonade is the bomb. Bubby's is so much better than any Wawa. The place is super small and there's no tables...just enough room for about six to wait standing inside the sliding glass door if it's cold and windy or rainy. You have to be patient as lines sometimes get long, but moves quickly. Prices are very reasonable. CASH ONLY! Boy, do I miss Bubby's. I wish he opened up near me!
