Ruth did not ask my parent to step out, and sensitive questions--like whether I feel safe at home--were asked in front of my mom. She also didn't ask about sexual activity at all. I had planned to discuss birth control, but I didn't feel comfortable bringing it up with my parent in the room and didn't want to ask her to leave myself. I think it's important for teen patients to have some private time with their provider so they can ask questions and be honest, especially about topics like safety, mental health, and reproductive health. Big fail on the behalf of this provider, will stay at this practice but I will be switching doctors.

She refused to sign the physical form unless he received the vaccines, even though I explained the urgency of needing the paperwork for school. The visit felt unhelpful and like a waste of time. I'll be finding another clinic that listens, communicates respectfully, and works with parents on timing and concerns. Also, the scheduler should mention who i am seeing if i am seeing a nurse or a doctor. I will not go back there, it was a waste of time, we can find another doctor who can listen to us and really care.

I never write yelp reviews but there is so much wrong with this practice that I cannot hold back…read more From a first time mom and someone in the medical field. There are so many things wrong with this practice. First off, no one answers the nurses line during the day and if you leave a voicemail they won't get back to you. Basically, you have to spam the front desk so they can go tell the nurses to answer the phone in the back. Secondly, this is RSV season and the practice doesn't have the vaccine because it is "too expensive" you're telling me you don't have a CDC recommended vaccination because of the price. Finally due to multiple families request you only bought the RSV shot, but now your telling me I have to pay over $500 out of pocket because my insurance doesn't cover it even though with a simple google search and insurance phone call it is clearly stated that they do cover the shot and the pediatrician office is billing it with a certain code that it wouldn't be covered. Thirdly, to request your child's medical records you have TO PAY for the records 50 cents a page. I've never heard of that. For the sake of your child's health go to a different practice.

Ugh, I have been coming here for several years with my kiddo and with each visit it seems as though…read morethere are ups and downs alike, no matter when we visit. Needing to get a sports physical for the school year, I called to make an appointment and the young lady I talked to sounded as if she was trying to talk me out of making the appointment instead of helping me make it. She repeated the same information over and over again to the point I had to ask if she could make the appointment or not. Fast forward to the actual visit. The up, first time we came and the waiting area was empty and were we able to be seen rather quickly. The check in kiosk is a waste of time since it is never able to check us in and I have to always go to the receptionist to check in. When asked for my payment and it was processed, I noticed that the charge I was quoted versus what was charged was $10 more. I advised her that was not the rate I was quoted on the phone nor the rate she just quoted me to my face before processing the charge. She advised the $10 fee was for the paperwork to be filled out, to which she advised that it was standard and that was the charge. I said hmmm, you sure? Well ok, as I was making a mental note to call the office manager in the morning to confirm that was in fact the case. After I sat back down in the waiting area, I noticed the receptionist who had helped me had the receipt I signed up to her face as she carried on a conversation with her peer as if she was trying to hide her mouth so no own could read her lips, believe me, I would have tried. So rude and unprofessional to say the least. The visit itself went well, as Dr, Hanna is straight forward and to the point, which I can appreciate. With the completed form in hand we checked out and were on our way. Low an behold I get a call the following morning from the office manager to advise that she received a note yesterday that I was over charged, how ironic, and that she had refunded the $10 back to my card. While I appreciate the call and the refund, when the receptionist realized she made an error she should have said something as well instead of leaving it to someone else to correct her mistake. Even if she could not have fixed it herself, she could have acknowledged the error just the same.

I don't recommend TPG to anyone because of the terrible service I've received from them. Dr…read more Samantha Cutler was the worse one in that practice. My baby had been coughing really bad for weeks, and Dr. Cutler kept telling I was being a "first time mom..." and that his chest sounded clear. I even recorded the cough for her to see what I was talking about. She wouldn't give me a prescription for a chest X-ray as if this would have cost her anything.... My baby had Pneumonia. Dr. Cutler also told me that my son's head was too big, he could have fluid in his brain, and he could die any minute; the earliest we could get the MRI from the hospital was 2 days later.... At the hospital, they told us that my son's head was normal, and that TPG had measured his head incorrectly because of his hair... I thought I was the only one with this bad experience at TPG and with Dr. Cutler, but I have a family member and a friend who had the same problems with their kids and the poor care they received from TPG.

Even Sentera doesn't ask its patients to wear masks." The nurse responded "that's good for them but you have to wear it here" and proceeded to take me and my daughter back to the check up station which states masks required even with doors closed. The doctor then came in and saw my daughter (who was having a though time breathing so to a sinus infection ) wasn't wearing a mask. The first thing she does is puts a mask on her without asking the parents. I was livid but remained professional and when she checked her out she had her, a 3 year old, take down her mask. I guess the virus stops when it's needed. Most 3 year olds are barely potty trained and asking them to wear masks, when they are having a tough time breathing regularly and when masks don't do anything is unprofessional. Avoid this place. They don't "follow the science" as they say only and just want to show they are doing something even when that something is wrong in every level. btw we saw Ginger that day.

I don't recommend this practice at all. We gave the pediatricians here a whirl after relocating…read more Not a fan or a vibe. The offices are outdated and doctors are judgey. I THOUGHT I liked Virginia Cinzano but she is very judgey. Once my kid was diagnosed with low iron, she acted disgusted with me as a mother as if I personally chose to withhold iron from my child. Girl, please. Like, I'm here because my kid said she had headaches and I wanted to learn why. She was nice-ish the first go-round and I thought we'd stick with her since she's seemingly got some diversity in her bloodline but I don't do doctors who expect moms to be perfect. The waiting room at this office is always disgusting. Crumbs, dirty toys and surfaces. There was even a dirty diaper once. There's minimal separation between the sick/well area and I LOVE hearing the front desk staff talk about their BBL plans. Wouldn't return, even in a pinch.

We had back-to-back appointments for our daughters last Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, my older…read moredaughter's visit ran nearly 30 minutes late, and on Friday, my younger daughter's appointment was delayed about 10 minutes. Both times, we were told the delays were because the doctors were behind schedule -- which we completely understand can happen. What's frustrating, though, is that this courtesy doesn't seem to go both ways. If we arrive even a few minutes late -- sometimes due to unavoidable traffic or limited parking at Walker Lane -- our appointments are immediately canceled. There's no grace period or understanding, even when we call ahead to explain. We mentioned this to the front desk and were told someone would follow up, but no one ever did. We've experienced similar issues at their Alexandria location, where we waited over an hour with no update. It just feels one-sided: patients are penalized for being slightly late, while the office running behind is treated as normal. A little consistency and empathy would go a long way toward improving the experience for families who make every effort to be on time.
