We had booked a table for 8pm. When we arrived there was a mass of people waiting, all of whom had reservations. In the end we were not seated until 40 minutes after our reservation time, without even an apology. They had clearly overbooked tables and didnt care that it was completely rude to make people wait for such a long time with a reservation. When we were finally seated we were rushed, the place was packed and loud, and the atmosphere was stressed and not enjoyable at all. The food was good, but the prices seem to have been higher and were not worth it for what we received. Add to that several things about our order were wrong, but no one came to check on us. We ordered a round of beers that never came, instead they just brought us the bill. In the end we left sort of exhausted and wishing we had gone somewhere else. It is only the fact that Durham is small and has limited weekend options that must keep this place open as it would quickly get a bad reputation in an decent sized town.

The quality of the food here is amazing. It's been really busy here both times I've been, so the fact that the waiters seemed a bit rushed and harried is probably forgivable. They also have a reasonably long wine list and a variety of other drinks. It is slightly pricier than other curry options, but I think the quality reflects the price and you get what you pay for.
