Unfortunately, my experience with the office management was the complete opposite. I called several times to speak with the office manager, only to later find out she had already left for the day. The staff seemed unaware of her availability, which reflected poor communication within the office. I've also spoken with friends who have been seen at this office, and they shared similar frustrations about how difficult it is to get in contact with Manager Maira. I genuinely believe the office would benefit from management that leads with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. The staff seemed to lack the support and guidance that strong leadership should provide, and I think the overall patient experience would improve significantly with better management. Because of this experience, I won't be recommending Valley River Orthopedics. Merced already has too few healthcare offices that consistently provide compassionate customer service, so it was especially disappointing to encounter this level of hospitality.

When I ask to speak to their supervisor Tracey who they tell me is "working on it" they proceed to tell me that she is conveniently not in the office or that they'll have someone named Laura (who apparently has nothing to do with my paperwork) give me a call. Again no one ever calls me and Tracey who is working on my request is never in the office according to her staff. If you expect to make a disability claim with the EDD, do NOT go to this practice!
