The problem is that as the scope of our project expanded and we would ask about the cost they always referred to the original contract where everything was priced out. "It will be the same amount per footer as we already quoted you", etc. We added half as many footers as the original agreement and the same amount of flat concrete (sidewalk and pads, etc) and the project ended up taking double the number of days (even though they were short handed for the second half of the project). Then they sent us a bill for triple the original price! They say they are firm and not willing to change. So after repeatedly telling us the cost would go up proportional to the parts of the job already contracted, they charged us double that amount for less concrete poured, half as many footers, and less man hours. Our original contract was for just over $6000, and without even doubling labor or materials they are now charging us over $18,000! Another way to think about it is they charged us $6000 for the first 3 days, or $2000/day according to the original contract. Then charges us $12,000 for the second 3 days, doubling the price to $4000 per day after repeatedly telling us it would be the same price. They are saying things like "but we had heavy machinery which costs $300/hour" (which was always part of the original contract), and we had to pay labor costs to our workers (again always part of the plan) and they were standing around and didn't always have something to do. Dishonest business practices charging us double for extra work after verbal agreements on-site lead me to post this negative review as a warning to anyone looking to hire a concrete company. They said the final price would increase at certain rates and then after the fact more than doubled the charge for the additional portion of the job. On my end it feels like theft to overcharge us in this fashion and not be able to come up with reasonable explanations for the excessive charges. They didn't itemize the additional charges. Buyer beware.

Such a great guy who also does great work!…read more I had an illuminated solar powered address sign put on our stone mailbox by my awesome handyman - who did exactly as I'd asked him. Unfortunately, the visible black cord that was on the side of mailbox looked increasingly tacky each time I looked at it. My husband and I racked our brains on ways we could hide/camouflage the cord and we finally decided the best way would be to dig out the mortar between stones and hide the cord that way, running it to the back of the mailbox . I reached out to Mark with photos of what we were dealing with and how we thought we could fix and Mark made it happen, even working us into his busy schedule. Mark is a true professional craftsman and I'm thankful to have found him!

I needed some topsoil for my lawn and just wanted to get some prices. The gate was open so I drove in. When Walking up to the office I met a very nice & her husband who turned out to be the owners of the Landscape Connection. They We're actually closed but had been on vacation the week prior & were there just to catch up on a few things. Anyways they asked me what I needed, and actually went out of their way to service me that day on a holiday during non business hours. The husband fired up the tractor and loaded my truck up with what I needed. It was very much appreciated and I would reccommend the Landscape connection to anyone. Contracted HK to replace part of my driveway. Little did I know that he was going to sub it to…read moreLopez Construction. I found out when the crew showed up wearing Lopez shirts. But, things went OK until the end. The finisher didn't like two of the edged and he went over them with a brush. The concrete dried and the brush marks are noticeable. Henry also said he would seal the new concrete. I reminded him twice over the past year and never heard back from him. I'm now getting ready to replace the rest of the driveway. Guess who won't be getting a call.
