He kindly showed us our camping spot, the restrooms , dog area , the cool hangout spot where you can chill, watch tv, cook or read a book in peace . Our campsite was perfect . It had a bbq, picnic table, and hookups. Even though we did rooftop camping it was convenient to have creature comfort's around us . The restrooms were sparkly clean, safe and well lit. The grounds were maintained properly and all the Folks at the park were super friendly. Thank you Texas Rv for taking care of us .

When he learned we were veterans as well he actually brought us cash and insisted we take the refund as a military discount. The main building is super cute with a cracker barrel feel and the other permanent residents were extremely friendly and gave us newbies lots of advice regarding our rig in the colder temperatures. I would highly recommend this place for an overnight or longer (wished we could have stayed longer!)

The reason why we stay is because of our amazing on-site staff with excellent customer service skills plus very nice lots, our lot has a metal roof awning. The amenities are wonderful too. On-site there is propane service, pool/hot tub, laundry facilities, guest facilities, package distribution, mail distribution, copying service and landscaping. The park is conveniently located near Tyler Regional Airport. My favorite features of the park is they allow pets. We love our dog Nova, she is part of our family life. If you are into star gazing, I was able to sit on my patio to watch the most recent meteorite shower which was the Perseid meteor shower. If you are wondering about cellular service, we have great cell phone service and the park provides wifi service making movie nights wonderful or chatting up with friends and family. If you like trivia nights, Dr. Frankenstein is a family oriented venue. Above it all, you can count on families helping families. A gem that is a treasure.

Overall, we had a really great experience. Stillwater is much more than just a place to park an RV. There's always something going on between the pools, lazy river, bar and grill, live music, activities, sporting events, and special weekends. You can stay busy if you want to, but it's also a great place to just relax and enjoy the property. What really made our time there special was the people. We met a lot of great guests, seasonal residents, coworkers, and staff, and several of those people became real friends. That's probably what we'll remember most about our time there. Working for the resort also gave us a better appreciation for everything that goes on behind the scenes. There is a lot of work that goes into keeping a property like this running, planning events, maintaining the grounds, and creating a good experience for guests. Like anywhere, not every day is perfect, but the overall experience for us was very positive. After six months of living and working at Stillwater, we're leaving with a lot of great memories and friendships. We're genuinely thankful for our time there and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a destination-style RV resort in East Texas.
