Expect to feel a release of negative energy and limiting thoughts. Expect to gain a sense of clarity and peace. This was a not so good experience for me. I arrived 5 minutes late to an hour long session and was denied entry to the class, I can understand if I were 15 minutes late but I wasn't. This is terrible customer service in my opinion. As someone who made a first attempt at starting something new, this wasn't a good first impression on the energy being put off to me as a patron. Especially when you're attending something that's supposed to be relaxing and inviting. What if someone needed to build up the courage to come in a new environment in which they we nervous or self conscious about. When I arrived at the door the instructor simply just shook her head at me and didn't even think to offer me a refund or another session slot, she was just going to keep my money. Mind you this class cost $20. This doesn't seem very inviting and I would recommend another studio. read more

Best Yoga Studio and Instructor/Owner EVER!!! I started with Shabach Yoga Studio back in November 2018 as a newbie. I had only done yoga 1-2 times prior so I started with the Intro to Yoga classes on Wednesdays with Courtenay. It was amazing! I love how she incorporates God into the flow of yoga. I love the essential oils, and music, and space, and energy from the other Yogis! I was hooked on the classes and began doing yoga on my own at home. I also signed up for the 3 part mediation workshop that she facilitated in early 2019. I ended up moving about 35 minutes away from Shabach and have tried other studios closer to home but nothing gives me the same feeling that Shabach and Courtenay did. So guess who will be working Shabach back into their schedule?! ME! I would definitely encourage new and seasoned yogis to give Shabach Yoga Studios a visit!! read more

Amazing experience! The studio is is perfectly located and easy to access. The amount of positive TLC in the up keep and Stocking of all equipment is top notch! The mats, blocks straps and anything else one would need for yoga ‍ is there and in excellent condition! It's like a heavenly spa!!! Courtneay, is so full of positive energy and it flows so peacefully through each session and interaction! Whether you are a novice or experienced yogi, she makes you feel great and encouraged to take your time to get what you personally need out of each session. I have been attending this studio for about two weeks now, after purchasing a Groupon. What a FIND!! The studio is warm and inviting, easy to park and get to. The vibe is wonderfully welcoming and friendly. I am a fellow yoga teacher and I have enjoyed the classes immensely so far! There are lots to choose from, convenient times, and the classes are good sizes. Not too big, not too small. Courtenay is fantastic and has cultivated a fantastic practice in her studio. As a yogi since 2014, I can easily say that Shabach Yoga is the best studio I've ever been to within the DMV. The owner Courtenay Brown is extremely knowledgeable in the spiritual and mental aspects of yoga and truly teaches you how to make your practice just that, yours. Following the yoga classes at Shabach, you will feel invigorated, calm, relaxed, satisfied, strengthened, the list goes on. I love that they're constantly invested in making the studio expansive by adding new classes, new instructors, and tools to make one's practice all the more valuable. The staff at Shabach are always professional and welcoming. Hot Yoga and Bye-Bye Belly Yoga are my personal favorites; they truly challenge my advanced yoga practice. Restorative Yoga puts me at ease at the end of each week and truly provides a laid back vibe your body needs. I am looking forward to beginning Qi Flow with Greg on Sunday's! Becoming a member of Shabach Yoga was one of the best decisions I made in my relocation to Waldorf, MD. I feel that I have a family there and truly look forward to practicing with them each time I am present for a class.
