We love the daily reports! The security protocols provide an effective defense-in-depth strategy that I think adds significant peace of mind. The children are safe, secure and well taught. Discipline is effective and consistent with a focus on positive reinforcement and good decision making. Accidents/incidents are communicated rapidly and the staff are very attentive to the health and well being of our children. The facility is clean and sanitized with the attention of detail that has resulted in the best environment for our children. The food options are excellent and provide a balanced meal to keep our little ones fed and nourished. Issues or concerns that were communicated by myself to the staff were respectfully discussed and addressed in a timely manner. The events and activities that are sponsored by the academy are great team building opportunities for the parents and staff. Additionally, they provide a strong foundational marker for the children to observe the parents being a part of their educational journey. Highly recommended!

Ms. Hana took COVID safety very seriously and took all the measures to make sure that the learning environment was also a safe place as well which was also a top priority for us. It was going to be his first time in a structured school setting so I really appreciated the smaller class size and student to teacher ratio because I felt like he was able to receive a more individualized curriculum and he was met at his academic level. When my son first started, he had very basic knowledge of his letters and sounds, but now we are almost to the end of our first year and he is reading simple sentences. He comes home excited to tell me what he has learned and about all his friends at school! I am so impressed with how much he has learned and grown thanks to Ms. Hana. Although we will be moving on next year to kindergarten, we are so happy that our son was able to get a good foundation for this upcoming school year!

My daughter has grown so much during her time here into very sweet, talkative, helpful. Ms. Hana plans thoughtful activities for the kids all the time and is a very responsive director. She takes the time to get to know every child very well. I love that this school is smaller which affords the kids more personalized care as well as bring a "family like" feeling between parents, teachers, and children. My most favorite part is, I really enjoy receiving a art works, worksheets, home report and occasional pictures of my child. We have been very happy at MMPS. It is a gem of a school within affluent North Potomac/Rockville with still very reasonable rates relative to other preschool.

Last summer, he attended Dragonfly Summers at Academy's location at Dufief E.S. He loved it and the staff so much! He begged to stay with me again this summer, so he could go back. This summer he is attending Academy's Trips and Dips program! He has only been attending for one week so far, and they have been to multiple waterparks, bowling and to the National Building Museum! It is so wonderful how the Academy staff balance education and fun for the children. He is learning different things and having a blast while doing it! As a bonus, he is worn out by the time he gets home! It is comforting to know while I am at work, he is in the safe, capable hands of the mature and professional staff. What more could a parent/guardian ask for! ;)

My daughter started here at 3 months old and she just turned 2 so I would say it would be safe to…read moreput in my two cents about Childtime of Gaithersburg. This place is beyond fantastic!!! High quality teachers who are passionate about their job and truly love the kids. It shows when you see their interactions, their demeanor, the conversations you have with them about your child. I think I cry every time my child has to move up classes because I get so attached to them emotionally. I'm leaving my most valuable possession in their hands which isn't supposed to be an easy thing to do but they make it so easy. My child is very shy, cries a lot, and has a hard time adjusting to new faces or environment. If you also have a child like this then you need to make sure they are in the care of very patient caregivers who have compassion for children. This is the right place for you. Since the pandemic, they have taken great precautions and implemented many protocols to keep it a safe environment. Masks, temperatures at the door, lot of hand washing for the kids, and lots of cleaning in classrooms. Now that parents aren't allowed to enter the building they have also implemented live cameras where parents can log in and watch to have the peace of mind. They also have a wonderful app where things get logged and updated about your child and you can keep in touch with the teachers throughout the day. Lastly, the director at this center is truly unbelievable! Not only is she always on top of everything but she is so kind and understanding when it comes to anything and everything about my child. What more could you ask for? Give her a call and you will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm going to update this later, but i want to get something down on paper now, as I see a crappy…read morereview below and it is the OPPOSITE of the experience we had at Childtime since February. So I am tweaking the curve:) My daughter was a little over 11mos when we began. I always feared sending my DD to daycare because i was afraid she would get sick and that she would not get the love and attention she needs to grow. The folks at Childtime put those fears at rest. I talk to parents at other daycares, and i am grateful for where we are. Admittedly, the initial transition was hard. My DD was previously sheltered by nannies, with zero immune system, and so she did promptly get sick. She did have separation anxiety. This is a common issue with allllll daycares and not at all unique to Childtime. What I love about Childtime is the staff -- I could not feel more comfortable leaving my child with them. They are smiling caring people. I see babies as young as 12 weeks get all the hugs and attention they need. I like that they encourage structure and development -- unlike the parent below, I like that they encouraged concrete nap time and my DD's physical development. They were not rude about it, and gave her a good mix of independence and attention. They were completely fine with me bringing in my own food, limiting what my DD eats, and tracking her progress. They remembered her dietary restrictions when even i forgot them. To each his own I suppose. But if i found Childtime earlier, i would have had no hesitation, hands-down, about bringing my child there over a private nanny anytime.

Once he was old enough for preschool, my first stop in was to this warm and nurturing place for his first school experience. It's still as amazing as the first day my now-teenagers stepped foot in the door. There is a new director, who is the brightest and bubbliest human alive, I'm certain. Her charisma is infectious, the staff are happy and excited to see the children each day and the kids are running in the building, excited to come to school. The Covid protocols are top-notch, the director has a family member who is a virologist -- open windows and multiple air purifiers in each classroom ensuring air movement, plus masking. And the quality of the academics is still as strong as ever. My child has recently come home rhyming words, clapping syllables, adding and subtracting, and even spouting facts about geodes, magnets and walruses. We continue to love our experiences here and highly recommend it even years after our initial good experiences.
