I wanted a side of Pico De Gallo to add some flavor to make it less bland and said they don't have any. What? How can a Mexican restaurant not have pico? Even Taco bell or Chipotle does! I had a skinny margarita which was good but i asked for salt on the rim and it came with table salt on the rim. Omg! Any bartender should know not to ring the rim of a margarita with table salt and instead use Kosher salt or pink Himalayan salt. The free chips and salsa were the best part of the meal. I don't recommend coming here unless you don't mind everything coming from a can or premade and reheated from Gordon Food. Nothing is cooked fresh here. They don't have soft drinks or water cups so you'd need to get a drink from their cooler. I was impressed with them having displayed fresh veggies, it makes eating-out a little more bearable when you're able to see the freshness of your meal. Delicious, the chicken tacos didn't look super seasoned but boy was I surprised! Super flavorful, and I loved that each entree came with grilled onions, jalapeño, 2 salsas (red and an avocado creama), and 2 lime slices! I always stick to the corn tortillas, they're far better than flour, if you're new to this sort of stuff. Only grievance is that my friend found a TWIG in his burrito while eating the second half. He was 75% done with the burrito, and since it wasn't glass, metal, plastic, or body hair, we didn't complain. He was grossed out ... but I just figured it was an honest mess up from either the limes or cilantro. Had to start with a Margarita, of course, and it was fine. Could may have a touch more alcohol, but was very tasty. The chips and two salsas were yummy, but my main course was the Tijuana Combination - one beef burrito, one mole cheese enchilada and once spicy chicken tostada. I'm no expert on mole but this was maybe the best I've ever had! The burrito was delish but, OMG, the spicy chicken in the tostada was outstanding! I seldom finish my plate but did today! Very friendly service and new owner is a nice young man with plans to upgrade the building, but I hope they maintain the cozy ambience. We will be back - again, and again!!
