There is a small beach with a pond; it is fenced in and opens seasonally. There is a picnic pavilion with a few picnic tables and a fireplace. Behind the pavilion is a basketball court. The playground is on sand and has a few swings, a slide, a playscape, a ball pit, and a bench. There is also a soccer field and little league baseball field. I did see a porta potty available. The place was so quiet, I heard water flowing. After further investigations, I noticed there is a brook behind the playground. I think this is a nice recreation complex and it was a peaceful spot to relax and let the kids release some energy. If you have young toddlers, I would keep an eagle eye on them because of the brook nearby. If you drive further up Foote Rd., the Burlington Falls is located there.

The park also has several vending machines for soda's and energy drinks. Similar to Elm Ridge Park, Maxwell Park has a playground, a covered pavilion for picnics and two softball fields. It is also very clean and the grounds are well maintained by the town.

There were plenty of green space to run around. It can get difficult to keep track of your child since it's busy. There are trash cans and it is walking distance to the rose garden. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood playground and it's nice that it was created in honor of a little girl, Ana.

We took advantage of the mild Easter Sunday weather and strolled around the park and neighborhood today. The park is crisscrossed by the Rails to Trails hiking path and walking paths that take you through residential backyards and the Buckingham neighborhood, complete with its town green, gazebo and social hall. The playground was crowded with young families enjoying the Spring like weather. One thing that really bugged me was the total disregard some dog owners had for the numerous signs that stated, "No dogs are allowed on the playing fields". I counted four dogs running free (off leash) on these fields, so I guess those signs don't apply to those who want to disobey them.

The playground had swings, a sandbox, and a playscape. There is a large pond and a short boardwalk that goes through a nature preserve. There is a short paved trail in the middle of the park. There were many picnic tables and benches throughout. I'm betting this is a great spot to go sledding during the winter since there are many hills there. What an unexpected treat! Wolcott Park sure exceeded my expectations…read more In the shadows of the Westfarms Mall and pretty much right next to the busy Corbins Corner shopping center, there it is. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves today. We walked the park's paths that meander through its 28 acres and connect so many great entertainment and athletic options. We saw an amphitheater, six clay tennis courts, a lighted little league field, a soccer field, a Children's Forest, a huge playground, pickleball courts, a splash pad, a nice pond, hiking trails, pretty scenery, and a long boardwalk over wetlands. That's a ton of things for your enjoyment. I really didn't expect this park to be as awesome as it was, but I was thrilled to have underestimated it.

While this isn't the best playground, I find myself here often. Located close to shopping, it's easy to stop here with my toddler when we have to run errands. On nice spring and summer days the playground and the rest of the park can get crowded. Because the basketball court and baseball fields are in such close proximity, parking can be tricky. The playground has 2 main structures, one for kids 2-5 and another for kids 5-12. There are also baby and regular swings, a spring see-saw, and some balance obstacles. My main complaint about BOTH play structures is that they are set too far off the ground. It's like the stairs are missing a step or the bottom of some of the slides are far too high off the ground. The 2-5 play structure is strange. Again, it is set too high off the ground and had steps on the interior that are too high, making them harder to navigate. It's very compact and has steep tunnels. My son rarely plays on it because it's such a strange setup. Though he isn't quite 2 yet, he is as tall (if not taller) than most 2 year olds and has no issue climbing other playscapes labeled for the same age. The 5-12 playscape is better, though it is starting to fall into slight disrepair. Some rails are getting loose, etc. It is in the "boundless" style with ramps and some things down lower to play with. This play structure is actually much easier for a toddler to navigate. There are some openings that a child under 5 could fall from but there's no need to really climb with the child. Standing close by on the ground and watching them at these openings would be sufficient. Nothing is so high that they are totally out of reach. For the older kids, there are some fun climbing obstacles and many different slides. There are always older kids at this playground, all seemingly having fun.

There are plenty of parking and picnic tables under shade on the median. The playground is gated with a couple of benches. There are no swings but the playscape was big enough to entertain a few kids and my toddler. There is a slide and two tunnels. Even though it's on the smaller side, kids were still running around having fun with tons of space around them. The playground is also on turf (fake grass). I think this is a great touch to add this playground for the kids; once they are done shopping/eating at the restaurants with their parents, they have a space to let the energy out.

While the playground is geared toward the play school age child (up to 12 years old), there is a sandbox and swings for younger children. There are 2 large playscapes. One unit is smaller, for the less adventurous child. They also have a small rock climbing wall, a rope web, a sea dragon to climb, a few bouncing trucks and a bouncing seesaw. Outside of the playground, there is a walking/running track, football and baseball field and a party pavilion. Kudos to the Town of Cromwell for such an awesome, clean and kid friendly park!
