I picked up my down comforters and pillows yesterday and I am so happy with the end result. The new…read morepillows have loft and are really fluffy, and the comforters have perfect weights. My king sized comforter fit perfectly into my store bought duvet and is already on my bed. The ticking is really really tightly woven so I can't imagine ever seeing a feather poke through...important to me to keep dust down. Every item has a handwritten tag sewn into it that it was made "with love by Elizabeth...", a very special touch! One thing to note, if you want a specific ticking you'll need to order before you have her get started. She has a single ticking available to her right now so if you require something specific you'll need to hunt down the fabric first. In a day where we're all trying to be green and eco-friendly, recycling your old down products is just one more step that everyone can do. And I'm sure the ducks and geese will thank you, too. Even your old ticking can be recycled as textiles...so take it home, bag it up, and recycle that, too!

I grew up in China which produces most of the down products sold in the States. One would assume…read morethat since China has one of the biggest down production and down export businesses, the best down-comforters should be made in China. I found it is not true once Luckily, I had an opportunity of experiencing one of Elizabeth's down comforter in 2002. In the spring of 2002, through a family member's recommendation, I ordered a custom made comforter from Elizabeth. My comforter was a special order made of half winter weight and half summer weight to suit mine and my husband's needs; also, I can use it for both winter and summer in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was amazed at the excellent quality of the comforter when it was shipped to me. The cover of the fabric was very thick, yet very, very soft. It hugs my body wonderfully. And also, I have never seen a single feather escape from the comforter cover. The down inside the comforter is so soft and fluffy that you will never feel a single feather poking. I am very pleased and appreciative of Elizabeth and her high-quality comforter. I have been away from home the last two winters, and haven't used Elizabeth's comforter. As human being often do, I soon forgot how good the comforter was since I have been using other comforters during those two winters. This spring, as I was back home and using Elizabeth's comforter again, I could tell the difference in a heartbeat in the qualities between Elizabeth's down comforter and other down comforters although her comforter has been used for almost 10 years now by me and my daughter (who didn't want to return it to me when I was back). I was again impressed by its ability to remain soft, thick, fluffy as new and never seen a feather poking through the cover. Also, because the ticking is so tightly woven, it has kept the down in its squares like a new comforter. In my opinion, you will never be able to find the same quality in a department store. I am very pleased to find that Elizabeth still makes a high-quality down comforter at a reasonable price. I would love to order another down comforter from Elizabeth for my family.
