I have never heard of this place until my daughter was recently invited to attend a Descendants…read morethemed birthday party here by one of her girlfriends from school. We parked nearby in a parking lot that's free on weekends. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a staff member and handed her our gift. My daughter sat down in a circle with the rest of the kids talking with Joy (the name of the manager. I found this out because my daughter will be having a birthday party here soon and she helped me plan my event) The party was hosted by Joy and her assistant, a younger girl. They both seemed very enthusiastic and energetic. They tried their best getting all the kids (boys and girls) engaged in their activities, making wishes, story telling, dressing up, twirling, and even a parade around the whole place. Boys were given options of "boy " costumes ; Spider-Man, firefighter, etc. Girls had a wide array of pretty dresses to choose from. As soon as I saw how happy my daughter was during all of this, I knew she would probably be asking me to have her party here as well. (And I was right!) the party was 2 hours long but seemed to fly by. It was adorable watching all the children use their imaginations and just have so much fun. After checking out their website and emailing Joy, I realized they have so many different options as far as party themes go ..from LOL dolls, unicorns, all the Disney princesses you can think of to basically anything. You can even include a tea party. We are going with an Elsa/Frozen theme and fingers crossed I hope our party will turnout as great as the one we attended. I am not the best host, and this will be my first year having a birthday party completely hosted by strangers that I'm paying lol. Now I don't have to worry about cleaning my place for days, setting up, cleaning up after the party, coming up with fun games, and when the times up everyone leaves. I'm hoping it will be an unforgettable experience. Joy was very easy to talk to during the meet up. They take a $75 deposit from you and then they customize invitations for you which you can just print out at home. We went over all the details and she was patient with my questions and concerns. Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get some rsvps back soon:) it's $395 for 10 kids but that's just the base price for the two hour party. 20 kids max. I think they also have an option for a shorter party for a little less. It's $15 per additional child and includes pizza and paper products. You have the option of bringing in your own napkins which I will be supplying. Elsa themed everything is what my daughter requested, so Elsa themed everything is what she will get) there are so many add ons. Each child will be doing an art project. Super hero themed one for the boys and unicorn headbands for the girls. Someone dressed as Elsa will be attending and hosting the second half of the party which is an additional $119. My daughter also wanted Ariel to attend but I was advised that it would be a clash with the two princesses. I'm glad they were honest with me instead of just throwing a mermaid costume on another employee just to rake in some extra bucks. I am happy to pay whatever if they do a good job! They also can paint nails which is 5.95 per child. If you want each kid to have a balloon that will be $1.50 per child. Also added on a birthday banner. There were so many options I could sign up for I don't even remember what I signed up for lol. No outside balloons permitted. I was told I can bring in water bottles for adults and additional food if I wanted to. They will be supplying the pizza. Any extra pizzas will be 12.95 per pizza. That's a great deal for a pizza, I hope it's not frozen Ellios pizza. Juice boxes are provided for the kids. They have an option where they can give the kids each a goodie bag for 5.95 each. I wanted to add my own personalized touch so I will be making my own goodie bags which they do allow. I enjoy doing things like this, it's a lot of fun for me. When I asked how early should I arrive the day of the party, I was told to come no earlier than 10 minutes before the start time of the party with the cake and my child I was a little surprised. They promised me I'm in good hands and I'm really excited/anxious/nervous/happy We are all booked and ready for the party day. I know with indoor children's places it's hard to fully avoid germs since kids will be kids and sneeze and slobber. But just wanted to warn parents of this possible reality of visiting any indoor play gyms. And to the owner - please ramp up your sanitizing frequency. The pros : It's pretty big length-wise. There's 2 ball pits (one large and one small) and lots of tunnels overhead. There's also a big bucket style merry go round. The floors are all padded and well kept. These seem new. There's an interactive overhead projector that displays games in back room The cons : the pirate ship is kind of old and needs some new paint, the plastic bubbles on the walls are crusty. Tickle game is not really responsive and is too high for the little toddlers to reach even with step stool. The stage/camera area isn't very fun. Piano is super old and some keys don't work. Overall I would still give this place a good solid 4 stars. The kids seem to enjoy the ball pits enough to spend an hour. Good place to get out their energy and run around thanks to the padded floors

And after we had our wedding, our guest did nothing but rave about how fun, unique and perfect the reception was. But just having a reception at RTM is not what I'd recommend it. It was so much more. It was having the incredible variety of foods - we had cheesesteaks, DiNic's roast pork, Chinese food, a salad bar, poutine and corn dogs, grilled cheese from Meltkraft, the list goes on. It was having a historic and unique setting that was transformed into a beautiful evening even with string lights, candles, table clothes, decorations and provided an ambiance it'd be impossible to replicate anywhere else. It was the servers who attended to our guests every need, kept the party going, the room clean and the people happy. It was every little touch that the planning team executed perfectly for us, that all happened without us realizing it, without any reminders or questions. The planning team at All About Events were the true heroes of the night - and in fact, the whole planning process. We met with them about 15 months before our wedding, and Christina, Stevie and Liam made sure that everything was easy, fun and exciting. Christina's emails to us were always clear and thorough, addressing every little question I had asked, and pointing out tiny things I never would have thought of. Stevie's communication with our vendors was so appreciated, including our Mummers and DJ! And every time we met with them, the meetings were exciting, joyful. Their personalities and kindness and caring for us and our events just SHONE. We could not recommend RTM and AAE more. They are a truly wonderful team, and a gem in the Philadelphia wedding scene. I hope that we get to go to another event at the market soon, and we will certainly keep them in mind for our 10th anniversary vow renewal!!!!
