I brought a Groupon for my son and his friend to take the BYOJ on this past Saturday 9/15/18. We were the first one's to arrive and was greeted by whom I think was the owner and his wife? Both were very nice and informative. However, One important factor I was unaware of was that you can't sit and wait for your child! I knew nothing about East Point and had to find something to do for an 1 hour and 1/2! I wish I would have know that before hand, I just felt it was odd. Any-who, my son and his friend are older (10 yrs old) and they both had their phone to call me if anything went down. Thought I was paying for my son to draw a Kola Bear or a Guitar. What I got was my son drew a football and his friend a basketball! I was pissed to say the least!!! I asked her why they didn't paint what was being instructed she stated "I wanted them to be artistry free"! I explained to her that they can be "Artistry Free" at home for FREE$. She did state that she would give him another session on her, but I don't think I will waste our time. I blame myself somewhat, I read the comments her on Yelp and they were 50/50 so I knew somewhat I was getting into. But over all they were nice but more clarity should be made that I would have leave my child and that they are able to just "free paint" whatever they wanted to without any instruction. read more

Had a really good time. Learned a lot, owner/instructor very helpful and encouraging, she would not let me give up!!Overall great experience. Dj, BOB, and lots of fun. Painting came out way better than expected. Would definitely recommend everyone to experience this painting class!! Fyi, we(group of 6) used groupon discount, however would advise before purchasing admission view the art center's actual website because they too have promotion/discounts available there which may save you more than groupon. read more

Terrible place the owner John is very unprofessional and states it is a great place or great company. Well his reviews say otherwise. Had a horrible experience and I see that I am not alone. It's funny that one of my doctors I work with went with her family and had a bad experience well. She stated that the person that answered the review tried to make it seem that it was her fault. Yet if you read a lot of the reviews before you go it seems apparent that he has to keep defending himself. Everyone can't be wrong about the professionalism of this place. read more

Contacted them in an effort to use a Groupon and called to make sure they had a spot that same night for a class. I was told that the Groupon only worked on Monday's, and to attend the class that night I would need to buy tickets on the website. The Groupon was $25 and the tickets through the site where $43 in total. I don't understand why I was told that because it wasn't in the fine print. We did go and had a great time, but there really wasn't any paint in instruction, out side of prompting the the next step. Which was displayed in their promotional video online as a bonus. All of the couples got one canvas to share and everyone thought/assumed there would be 2 individual canvas. We had a good time and made the most of the experience, but I do feel like the lack of customer service could be a reflection of the state of the business. Which was shown in giving false info about the Groupon, their need to save paint by taking some of mine off my palette and giving it to another patron, they reuse solo cups for the water to clean the brushes and the insides are very dirty, not great paint brushes (multiple broken sponge brushes in our group), and the lights were not on when we arrived. I think they should shift the focus to be more customer focused and make sure the experience feels with the over $20 class. Which was about an hour and a half. read more

I signed my kids up for the BYOJ (bring your own juice) painting class and it was amazing! Our kids loved the class and their instructor, Mr. J. Our son enjoyed the experience so much, he asked if he could go back tomorrow! I definitely plan on returning and our family becoming regular faces at the Seven Arts Center! :) read more

Had to keep asking for paint only for a guy to come and barely squirt some out of the bottle. The instructor told us she was tired and that we'd be using leftover paint from earlier sessions.This meant that the beautiful little sample picture we saw was gonna turn out to be weird pastel BS. The couple across from me smelled like leftover marijuana. Oh, did I mention we had to use leftover brushes with busted sponge tips. Yep, this was the thanks I got for expecting a simple good time. Please bring your own drinks as this makes the experience a little less surreal. Never again. read more

Hello I had a bad experience after hearing great things about this place. I purchased two tickets on Groupon and I purchased 2 on their website. When I came in the guy scanned the Groupon ticket and they went through but when he scanned the tickets from there website the tickets wouldn't pick up. So I have four kids with me and only two could paint. The tickets costed 54.50 for the other two kids I asked for a refund the guy stated i needed to call the ticket place it was close because it was Saturday and he wouldn't let the kids paint after I showed him that I purchased them and showed him where the money came out my account my kids were very disappointed I was unsatisfied mother in this situation and I still haven't had it resolved. All I wanted was for my kids to paint. I'm very disappointed at trying to support us. read more

I visited Seven Arts Center on V-Day 2014. My experience here was really great. I called to book the "Painting for Singles & Couples" session and was delighted by how nice Makeba was on the phone. She is the definition of customer service and made sure that everything went smoothly with booking. I must say that this was a great first impression and when I arrived she was just as nice and warm hearted in person. This was also their 2 year anniversary(congrats!) and even though this was BYOB, they provided light refreshments like chips and dip, juice, and cake for the anniversary celebration. A live artist sang and there was also a dj to provide music while we painted and interacted. I must say that the live music touch was a nice one. The music provided by the DJ was of nice selection but was far too loud for such an intimate setting. There were times where some of us couldn't hear Makeba speaking b/c of the music. Makeba was also our art instructor of the night and gave us direction in our paintings. She gave us instruction and advice but did a great job of not being forceful while instructing, giving each person or couple creative control over their experience! We played games, painted, drank wine, and enjoyed each other as a group here at Seven Arts Center and it was a great overall experience! I encourage anyone who wants a great experience in the arts to definitely give Seven Arts Center a call and book an event/session there. I'll definitely be back! read more

If I could give SEVEN ARTS CENTER a 0, I would! The level of customer service is non-existent.. from THE OWNER himself. When THE OWNER failed to communicate ahead of time with us as a customer, he erroneously blamed his error on me. When we tried to meet THE SEVEN ARTS CENTER half way to see if there was anything they could do because it was my daughter's bday, they didn't try to do anything. Just deny, deny, deny. When my sister asked what can be done on my behalf, as I am laid up in the hospital on bed rest, she's told by the owner "Why are you in here??? This doesn't involve you! This is none of your business!" The OWNER says this to the aunt of the bday girl!! When told that a review was going to be posted avout the SEVEN ARTS CENTER online, the OWNER states "He doesn't care. It doesn't matter. No one reads reviews." PROVE HIM WRONG! DON'T PATRONIZE SEVEN ARTS CENTER. Clearly, he doesn't care what customers think or whether or not they return. So, don't give him the opportunity. read more

It was fun, until the last 15 mins of class and the owner kicked us out! He told us it wasn't his problem that we didn't finish our painting. The owner was disrespectful and rude. The class should have been 3 hours for the amount of work we had to do. read more

Did the 6:30 Monday painting session with my friend and the experience was mediocre. There was barely anyone but two other ladies, which we weren't surprised bc it was a Monday evening.. the instructor was an older man in his mid 40's or early 50's.. he was nice but he didn't really teach us anything. We had to basically paint ourselves and could've just went to dollar tree and painted this ourselves lol he only handed us the paint and some old, worn out brushes and basically wished us good luck since he didn't guide the class at all.. wouldn't recommend if you're actually coming in to learn unless it was just that instructor. Location is good because parking is free. Drinks and snacks are a bit overpriced too. read more

I used a Groupon to do BYOJ and it was AMAZING!!! The co-owner and instructor were so professional and VERY friendly. He (the co-owner) helped me get the kids ready to paint since we did arrive 5 minutes late. Afterwards we had a long conversation about everything from society to the arts and other programs they offer. I'm really shocked by alot of the 1 star reviews I'm reading because my experience was the complete opposite. The only hiccup we had was the kids only rule. I did advise that although the ticket says kids only I thought it was referring to painting but they meant it literally. All parents were asked to leave the facility. So since I live 30 mins away I grabbed lunch and sat in my car. It wasn't a big deal I just would have been more prepared if I knew I actually had an hour to myself. But again I was extremely pleased with my experience and we'll DEFINITELY BE RETURNING! read more

Groupon had a sale for $5 per child for the BYOJ (Bring your own juice box) class. This was perfect for my bonus children. The class ranges from ages 5-15. I was worried about our 5 year old bx no adults are allowed in the class. The class time is about 1 hr and 30 minutes. The only comments I can make are those of the kids when I asked how the teacher was and they said in unison... AWESOME. All of their art work was well done. read more

I visited Seven Arts Center on 11/7/2015. While visiting the area from Seattle, I found this gem of a place and I took my niece for her first ever painting experience and she had a blast! We had an awesome time! The owners and staff very exceptional! We had no prior drawing or painting experience and our "masterpieces" were awesome! They were very encouraging and extremely helpful from beginning to end! I would highly recommend this place as it is fun for kids in the afternoon, and a great atmosphere for adults in the evenings wanting to experience something truly exceptional, having fun while painting and socializing!! A+++++++!!!! Looking forward to another visit when in the area again! read more

I heard it was a great place to go but had not had a chance yet. I did see a job opening and applied at one of their locations and was not hired but recieved an email asking me to interview for another location but relocated out of town. After that they added me to some mailing list and started sending me spam emails almost daily. One of them said to review them on Yelp so that is my experience with them. read more

We love the Seven Arts Center. My daughter takes art and piano there and I will continue taking her as long as she wants to go! It's nice to have a positive place for our children, on the south side. read more

Nice to have a place like this south of the city. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The kids enjoyed it and so did we as parents. The ability to drop the kids off is a wonderful concept! We'll be back
