For the entire week of our stay we would wake up and walk to the Gecko because their beach was cleaner than the Insotel's and the service/food was SO much better than the junk they had at our hotel. We tried to book a room at the Gecko so we could leave our hotel but unfortunately for us they were completely booked. Now I know where to stay next time I go to the island... the property is beautiful and well maintained and the staff is very accommodating!

You can also reserve day beach beds here which is quite nice. When in Ibiza, order a pitcher of sangria for lunch, right? What's super cool is that they actually make it for you table side! I'm usually not a bread person but it was delicious. It came out warm with a side of dipping sauce which had hints of basil. I ordered one of the pasta dishes that had salmon roe, which was an acquired taste, but I liked it. I was very disappointed with the broccolini side dish. Not only was it 14 euros but there was like 6 pieces of vegetables. Guess that's a sign that I shouldn't eat vegetables while on vacay. The other downside is that it's a bit pricey especially if you stop by for lunch. Ended up being 150 euros for the two of us. Not your casual beach lunch but it was a treat!
