Two young men came out on the day of installation. On time. They explained what they were going to do and asked where we would like the exterior fan to be installed which was important to my wife. Three hours later they were done. Worked the entire time and were extremely pleasant. Crawl space and mitigation system looked great. Couldn't be happier with their service. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a radon system installed.

This is the one we purchased. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H2VOSP8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It showed a high radon reading, we called this company to have them take a reading with their equipment. The person who came out was Mario Andrino who explained everything in detail what they do if radon was detected, and said if we did have radon they would be able to take care of it. He set-up the reader in the basement and said he'd be back in a few days to see what it detected, sure enough, it showed we had radon!! He measured the basement and came up with a price, but before he gave us the price I asked if they gave any type of military discount, he said thank you for your service and yes we do give a discount. He figured the discount and put a line through the old estimate and wrote down the new price. The wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the price he wrote down. We agreed to the price and asked when they could do it and he said he'd have the guys out in 2 days. Two guys came out, introduced themselves to me and said they were there to do the radon installation. They were very courteous and respectful which I really liked, they cleaned up as they did the work and it only took a few hours. Mario came out inspected what was done and explained everything to me. Mario set up the radon detector and said he would leave it here for a couple of days to see how the new radon system was working and look at the new readings it took. When Mario came back and showed me the readings I was very happy, the radon had dropped down below what was considered safe. My wife and I would like to thank the 2 young men and who installed the system, they were very nice and courteous. Mario Andrino was very knowledgeable about radon and the equipment that was used. He made sure the job was done correctly. is the type of person that would make sure the job was done and done right! Thank you all for a wonderful job

My experience with Radon Systems was a bit of an ordeal. Initially, the estimator misinformed me…read moreabout the feasibility of mitigating radon in my home, stating that the upper slab that most of the house sits on couldn't be reached from the basement. However, after receiving contradictory quotes from other companies, Radon Systems revised their assessment, acknowledging that the slab could indeed be accessed from the basement and I booked a time with them for an installation. When the installation date came around, the tech and a trainee arrived and told me that the system would be tough to install and couldn't be done without removing a dryer exhaust vent that was blocking the path that the radon system would need to take. I was told that the dryer exhaust vent was taped in with a type of tape that wasn't designed to come off and I might need to hire a handyman to remove the pipe and schedule a new install. This was frustrating as the original estimator had not mentioned this at all and after waiting a month for this install date and making arrangements to be at the house during the installation, I now had to wait almost another month for a new installation. Also, I found out later that the tape came off the dryer vent very easily and could have easily been removed in a few minutes to allow the installation to proceed on the original date it had been scheduled. Then, when the next installation date came, the tech that came was just the trainee from the first installation attempt, who took roughly 12 hours to complete the installation (what I found online seemed to indicate that a radon system installation job usually takes 3-5 hours) and needed to call a more experienced tech for help countless times throughout the day. There were numerous issues along the way, including problems with wiring the system, and after he said that the job was finally done and left, we noticed that the radon exhaust pipe in the basement was incredibly loud and actually was not even connected to the part of the system drawing in radon from the sump pump. Although the tech was very courteous, a hard worker, and was trying his best, this was clearly a job that required someone more experienced and it's frustrating that the company decided to send him by himself, especially when this tech admitted that this was his very first solo installation of a radon system in a residential house and both people that had looked at the house earlier from Radon Systems said this would be a tough job. After talking with Radon Systems again, the owner sent another tech to correct the issue of the pipe not being attached. He then said he would be back to fix the electrical, which had not been wired well, but it was only after multiple follow ups that a tech was finally sent out. I was then told I would get the results of the radon test within a business day or two. After almost a week passed, I followed up and they finally sent the results. Although the system appears to be working now, the path to getting here was not pleasant and could have been avoided by Radon Systems prioritizing customer service and satisfaction and not just trying to cut costs by sending a brand new tech to tackle a tough job.

Avoid This Company -- They Operate Multiple LLCs to Hide Bad Reviews…read more I hired Duct Bee Clean (also operating as Airbenders Duct Cleaning and Maven Air Care) for duct cleaning in my 100-year-old home in London, Ohio. They quoted a low price and then aggressively upsold me on UVC lights and an antimicrobial spray, bringing the total to $1,400. The two subcontractors they sent had no apparent training and clearly didn't know what they were doing. Instead of properly cleaning the ducts, they blew thick black soot and dust out of the vents and all over my upstairs. It covered: My master bedroom The bathroom My infant daughter's room The black soot was EVERYWHERE. FLoors, walls, furniture, and bedding. It was a complete disaster. When I contacted the company to complain and ask them to come back and clean up the mess they created, they refused to take any responsibility, no apology, no offer to fix it, nothing . What makes this worse is that this operation is run by John Raele out of Winchester, Kentucky. He runs the business under multiple LLCs and brand names (Duct Bee Clean, Airbenders, Maven Air Care, etc.), and every single one of them has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. It appears they deliberately spin up new company names and Facebook pages specifically to avoid the impact of bad reviews and complaints. This was not only a waste of $1,400, but they left my family, including a baby breathing in fine black dust for days. I now have to hire a professional restoration company to do the deep HEPA cleaning they should have prevented. Stay far away from any company connected to John Raele / Duct Bee Clean / Airbenders / Maven Air Care. They are not a legitimate duct cleaning business they're an upsell machine that leaves messes and then hides behind new LLCs when customers complain.
