I give Virgi and her clean up crew two thumbs up. Bryan is also a very good worker. These two made all the difference in the world. They are hard workers and very willing to please. When things went bad, they jumped right in to make things right. Virgi expressed that she was new. If you ask me she is supervisor material. More workers like this you should keep even if you have to raise their pay. Someone is going to see the good workers that they are and hire them for more pay. They are worth it. I needed mold removed from my kitchen. They quoted me and charged me for equipment and work their employees did not do or use. They did not properly put up a containment area around the area being worked on. They carried out containmented pieces of my kitchen through my house without sealing them. For 9k I would expect the job to be done professionally. Talk to the estimator and he refused to even hear us out. Very unprofessional company, not happy with how the job was performed. But the mold is gone. I would not recommend this company. Lots of EPA violations I need to report on. read more

Fire & smoke damage clean up and repairs. Please read all reviews before you sign with SM. I wished I had. The fire was in my garage 1/21/24. The 4-5 star reviews are correct in that they responded immediately. After that it has been all downhill. They were very professional until they had a signed contract and the first deposit. $35,000.00. They were quick to get the garage cleaned out. I was told they would set aside any items that were questionable as to the damage. I did sign a waiver allowing them to use their judgment. DON'T! Their "judgment" was to dispose of everything. Some things were clearly not damaged. The reason I say "dispose" is I have no proof they didn't cart my things into their own garages. When I brought this up to one of the supervisors, they just gave me their standby comment that they would discuss at the next meeting. After they cashed the check, it was about 6 weeks before anything else was done. That is only because the bank contacted me for a progress report. I told SM what I told the bank "Not a d**n thing had been done once they got the check. The "pack out": Please, Please, Please take pictures of everything before they begin. I got so upset with the carelessness of the first crew, I requested another crew be sent. Seeing how careless they are, I told them they were not allowed to move my fish tanks. I didn't want them damaged. Depending on which supervisor （and boy do they have a lot of those） you talked with the tanks needed to be moved or no they could work around them. I made it very clear that if the tanks were to be moved, I wanted professionals familiar with moving tanks to move them. SM was NOT to move them. Last Friday SM came to finish the pack out. I got finished with work early and decided to stop by my house to see how things were going. SM had 3 of the 4 tanks wrapped and was starting to move them. The room they were supposed to finish packing was not packed. They just threw some things in boxes didn't seal the boxes and stacked on top of each other. They threw things behind the stacked boxes, including glass picture frames (not wrapped). There was a glass shelf in the room. They took it down and just stashed it behind a door. No, it wasn't wrapped or protected in any way. It seems like the packers were told to hurry and get the tanks moved before I knew they were moving them. I also have a baby grand piano. I also stated SM was not to move the piano. Well, they didn't move it. But, when they wrapped it, they turned the bench upside down. Why? The bench slides right under the piano. And, don't get me started on their communication skills. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing and neither communicate with you unless you hound them. I thought it would be easier to have SM just take care of everything instead of dealing with several companies. The fire was a piece of cake compared to working with SM. Again, I implore you to read all the reviews. It looks like if it is a small clean and go job customers are happy. But if there are any extensive repairs SM gets a 1-star review. Compare the type of job you have with like reviews. Get the initial clean up done, or the property secure, then take a couple of days to let it sink in what has happened. Then research contractors. I wished someone would have given me that advice. It has been 4 months and still waiting for the permits. No, the City of Visalia did not drag their feet. The requested paperwork was not submitted to the City in a timely manner. I have held off writing a review hoping it would get better. It hasn't. I just wanted other people in my situation to be fully informed. They have barely started the repairs. I may have more to review at a later time. read more

Our kitchen and laundry had a water leak. Our insurance company sent Service Master from Visalia to take out the water damaged cabinets and the flooring. Here's my gripe as to why Service Master is getting one star rating. We went through questions and answers as to what's getting tossed away and what's getting salvaged. The two gentlemen said that whatever the water touches will be discarded. Whatever they can salvage that the water didn't damage stays. The first two days of demo, they left all of the salvageable items in our garage. They even dismounted all the soft closed hardwares from the frames of the cabinets and set it inside the drawers for safekeeping. We had expensive pulls and knobs installed on the drawers and doors. Matching wooden, not your cheap MDF particle board, inserts that we bought separately for the the drawers. A custom rubber matt for the under kitchen sink worth $300+. On the evening of the the second day, I came back from work and everything was gone with the exception of our two sinks and the disposal. The next morning I met up with the two workers and asked what they did with the salvaged items that they previously left in the garage. One of the guy said that their supervisor told them to throw everything away. I commented to them that they should've at least communicated with me before discarding everything. Had I known, I would've taken all the pulls and knobs, the inserts, and the matt because those items weren't water damaged. An hour later, their supervisor showed up. I saw him and said hello. He was too royal of a person to even acknowledge my greetings. He just glanced at me. He didn't even come by to introduce himself. Just glanced and went right back to having his conversation with the two workers. No big deal. Later on, I had a few questions to ask. I looked directly at their supervisor as I directed my question to him. Instead of answering my question, he mumbles to one of the worker. The worker then comes over to me and relays the message to me. Now I've never met this guy before nor had any sort of conversation with him on the phone. This was my very first time seeing this royal jackass. Very unprofessional, especially with the status that he holds. On the fourth day they asked if it was okay to move my washer and dryer to the back porch. I told them it was fine. As they were moving the washer, they dropped it. The worker who had his back against me turned around and saw me witness them dropping our washer. Neither one of them came to me regarding what has happened. At the end of the day after they left, I went to inspect the washer and dryer. Dents and scratches everywhere to the faces of the washer and dryer. They damaged the towel rack next to the washer and dryer above the sink. They mentioned nothing. I filed a complaint to our insurance person. I get a response from the insurance person that Service Master claims they did no such thing. All the dents and scratches to the washer and dryer were preexisting damages not caused by their two workers. The towel rack was also a preexisting damage not caused by their two workers. My guess is when they dropped the washer in front of me, that was a preexisting drop not caused by their workers. Service Master wants us to write them off that they did a good job and we were satisfied. They got big balls to ask but shriveled tiny raisins to own up to the damages that their guys caused. I leave this last comment to let your imagination take you to which ever conclusion your mind desires. With the shortages of everything, it wouldn't cross my mind that all my solid maple drawers and cabinets including the soft closed hardwares, knobs and pulls, cabinet inserts, and my $300+ under sink matt didn't get tossed like they claimed. read more

Worked with us and the insurance adjuster to make a sound and fair re-assessment on damage caused by a water main leak in my home. Please please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !! Unfortunately we got assigned this company thru our insurance . We had a pipe break early July and had water damage to our kitchen and bathroom . Right away we got put into a hotel July 13th,2021 . They worked really quickly to control the black mold that had popped up due to all the water . We had the pipe fixed ( our expense) in order for them to start rebuilding the cabinets back up . Nov 6th we get a call that we had exhausted our funds for the hotel we (2 adults , 3 kids and 3 dogs ) were staying at due to my house should have been done in October . We get moved in with no kitchen .. where else do we go? I got so fed up I called and filed with BBB. They had been paid in sept/ October full already and nothing had been done . Someone from their company shows up a few days later to our place wanting to help ease and gives us a $300 gift card to SaveMart to ease the expense since we were gonna have to eat out for thanksgiving and for us to retract the BBB COMPLAINT!!!! So, we did that thinking ok now we got their attention and they'll finally do what they needed to do in the first place. We get promised for thanksgiving we would have it . End of Nov we have the cabinets but now everything is done wrong . They had the wrong measurements . We got small cabinets all over we couldn't fit the utensils box in the drawers . The hardware we bought has 3in holes . The dude drilled 2inch holes / 4 inch quarter holes / 3 inch holes . All different !!! And slanted downward!! They had forgotten to replace a little cabinet next to the stove . So now we had 2 different looking cabinets . Paint was already chipping off certain doors . A HOT MESS!!! So in December they came and re-measured . Said after the holidays we would have it done . Jan comes and had gotten notified Jan 14th would be the day. Then before that date get told they had to re-measure due to measurements were lost during the holidays . Now here we are every week a different story as to Why they can't come at their scheduled date . EVERY SINGLE WEEK! I have so many text messages and calls to prove it . Just unbelievable! Today get a call that they will get another estimated date this evening . I'm done !! They've been paid and we got a very crappy job . Please think twice before calling this company !!! read more

We had an undetected leak from a water pipe encased in the concrete slab on which the house was built. Our plumber came out and jackhammered the floor where the leak was located and repaired the pipes. They explained to us that the pipe had been leaking for some time and water had built up between the vapor barrier and the concrete which meant the entire flooring would have to be removed and the water dried before new flooring could be installed. We called Service Master and Augie Ruiz was here within an hour or so of our call. He was amazing! He and his team went right to work determining exactly what needed to be done. He explained the process completely (which had to be difficult for him with our limited plumbing knowledge). I even had to call a couple of times after they left that day and he answered the phone promptly and provided the answers to my questions which reassure my jitters! He, or one of his team members, came out every day to check the progress of the 15 fans and three de-humidifiers! When we asked, they showed us the progress which was fun to see. As one area would dry, they would adjust the fan(s) for quicker drying in other areas. Just before leaving each day, they would ask which time of day would be best for us the next day and they always called to let us know they were on their way. We are thrilled with our local Service Master, every team member and the professional service they provided! The water under the slab has evaporated, the fans and dehumidifiers are gone and we are in the process of having new flooring ordered and installed! People that came were very very nice and respectful. Unfortunately the next day we had someone come in and let us know they left the wrong machines here. So instead of sucking up all the mold spores, they were fans so they were spreading. And one in the bathroom was never turned on. Someone will come everyday to make sure everything is okay. My brother came home for a 2 week vacation to find his closet dripping water all over his clothes... upon further inspection we could see the whole ceiling was saturated. I live right above him and panicked at what could be leaking. We called our insurance company who then called service mast and within (no joke) 20 min I received a phone call from Servicemaster to fix the water issue. I forgot to mention it was already 7:30pm and they offered to come out the same evening to fix the issue! I couldn't believe it but I said the filling morning was fine. Before they arrived I received a call from the gentleman who would doing the job, not only was he punctual but he was also so polite and reassuring through the whole process. The 2 gentleman working as a team to tackle the situation were names Corey and Chris. I'm not the easiest person to impress and I was beyond impressed with both of their knowledge their patience and most of all the respect they showed the whole household. They worked quickly and efficiently to set up the dryers and they even dusted my dresser when they were finished and gathering all their materials. I appreciate employees who make their business look good and I believe you are lucky to have such great representatives of your business. The pipe to my mother's water heater sprung a leak. Service Master cam out right away and took care of the immediate problem. I was out of the country and worked with them from the other side of the world to make the restoration. They were easy to work with, kept me informed of progress, and when I saw the finished product, I was delighted! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We just recently had our carpets and tile floors cleaned by Service Master Benevento. When Jacob arrived he was professional and courteous. Because I was not familiar with tile floor cleaning he took the time to clean an area of the floor and show me what it would like to make sure I would be satisfied. Soo typing this as I watch all the rain fall from the leaking roof in our laundry and back room. House fire 2013 and they came out. We were redoing sheetrock in our room and our ac/heater caught on fire at 130 am. Everyone was pit and safe. Went with their inspectors and could the charring and alligatoring which after living through 2 house before I knew that's not good nor safe. The said they would clean it and seal it and do the work with ducts and all that. We have a small side room going down to a laundry and every since they "fixed" the damage that whole side room leaks called them out. They said they didnt touch that side of the roof. Called our home insurance and the said if it was part of the fire it's in them.. serv9cemaster charged us over $200 to pit a cheap plastic tarp on it and did nothing. And tonight we found leaks in the laundry room. Since the start I said we probably need a new room because the beams are charged. The roof has never leaked before the touched it so her I am 1030 at night with towels and buckets.. thank Servicemaster! Dont ever use them. Dealing with roof leaks for 6 years now sucks cause we dont have $6000-$8000 to buy one read more

They scheduled my appointment, contacted me to remind me of my appointment, and followed up with me after my carpet was cleaned. They wanted to check in with me to see if I was satisfied with my service, which I was. Tom, the person who came out, was very professional. He came in and knocked out my carpet clean in a jiffy.
