One of the "extra" locks on our door is lockable from the inside and so that's how we got locked out. Of all times for this to happen, it was a Sunday afternoon! I was sure we would have to research for hours and pay hundreds of dollars to find someone to help us! LUCKILY this guy answered right away (we found him on Google, 1st result and had good reviews). He showed up in less than 30 mins (it helps that we live downtown of course) and it took him 5 mins to open the door! The best part is that the price for such quick and WEEKEND service was under $100! I forget the exact amount. We paid cash so it might be more if you use Visa. Also, it wasn't a deadbolt and we live downtown so that might have been to our advantage price-wise :) What I thought was going to be a nightmare of a day turned out to be a minor hiccup in my afternoon. Really so thankful for such excellent service! Tip: You have to show ID with your address on it of course.

After getting screwed by my…read moreneighborhood locksmith (borrowed an item and refused to return it or pay for it) and understandably fearing my keys might have been compromised (he once cut me a pair of replacement keys and could've secretly kept a spare), I resolved to change my locks. A colleague suggested I go for the Medeco brand, which while much more expensive is also much more secure. After I called in, the owner came to see me and he gave me a free estimate. After shopping around some more, I found that he had the best deal and gave him the okay. While I wanted to change both the inner and outer locks, he rightfully pointed out that changing only the outer lock was unnecessary in my case. I could still keep my inner lock without risk. A true professional, he doesn't sell people stuff they don't need. Definitely going to recommend him.
