He and his crew jackhammered out a heaved slab, ground a massive stump, leveled, and set all the forms in one day. Came back with the concrete truck exactly when he promised. Poured and screed a new, bigger driveway pad. It is as polished and professional as all his example photos on Yelp. Baltazar is a the real deal and a great guy to work with!

After 1 1/2 years of threats from him, No Shows, and refusals to pay me back, I won a Judgement against him in Small Claims Court. After another year I was able to claim less than 1/2 my money by attaching his bank account. He still owes me over $2,000. I have documentation through the Shasta County Superior Court and the Sheriff's Department. I would not recommend hiring him.

The greater landscape project could not progress until the walkway was completed and they pulled out all the stops to complete their portion quickly. I have experience with many paver projects done for me in the Bay Area and I was most impressed with the quality of their work. Howard, the owner of North State, is a quality guy that does everything he says he is going to do and more. That is a rare quality these days. He had to send his crew back to my project to lift off some pavers to repair a damaged irrigation pipe, and replace the pavers. He got this done in one day so that the landscape project could proceed. I highly recommend Howard and North State Masonry.

This ended up being my only stop because they had what I needed, were very friendly and helpful, "female friendly" because "yes, we can!", and within less than 2 hours I had my mountains of landscaping supplies in my yard. (Where they still sit, but they are now just "hills" - but that's a story for another day.) Came on here to get their number so I can call and have some more supplies delivered and chat about some excavating work. Competitive pricing as well. Ladies, do not be shy about stopping in. They don't treat you "that way" as some places do.
