We had a group of 3 and they paired us up with a single (which I totally understand). They made the single ride with our third member in the same cart. Starter was not willing to let the single and our third member take separate carts (course was NOT busy). The single shot well over 100, played at a different tee box than our 3rd member and it completely slowed up the round and made for a miserable day. Came in from out of town on a golf trip and had this course one our list, but would not recommend it to anyone because of what we experienced. read more

As the mother of the bride, I am heartbroken and furious over how Serket Golf Club handled my daughter's wedding. I have never witnessed such an unprofessional and disorganized operation. From the very beginning, communication was inconsistent and evasive. We were misled about capacity, pricing, and staffing. We were promised a full setup of the reception and cocktail hour. Christina (who quit two weeks before the wedding) personally told us to bring all items the night before so the staff could handle everything. I spent hours preparing labeled boxes with pictures of every table setup, plus a detailed binder outlining every single detail to make it easy for them. When I arrived on the wedding day, nothing -- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING -- was done. The boxes were still sitting in the back office, untouched. I had to start setting everything up myself just hours before guests arrived. It was humiliating, stressful, and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the new coordinator, Brittany, was practically nonexistent that day. She was "setting up" when I called and never once checked in to see if things were okay. If it hadn't been for Caleb stepping up to help, the reception would have been a total disaster. My daughter deserved better. This venue ruined what should have been a calm, joyful morning and turned it into chaos. Brides -- please don't make the same mistake we did. Do not trust this venue with your wedding. read more

Wow !! Weeks ago had a great lunch. Great service as well. Ordered a beet salad and it was really great. This time around we took others with us and ordered 2 beet salads and this putrid mess is what was delivered to our table! Virtually everyone at the table spoke up the minute the server set it down. We all basically started laughing at this trash being served and we even wondered how she kept a straight face. I said if this is what you are charging $15.00 for we need to speak with the manager! She abruptly said "I AM THE MANAGER" she was less than helpful stating it was an "appetizer salad" whatever that means? Overrated. Solid condition and a couple of holes with tremendous views. However, holes 2-6 are ridiculously narrow and a few have strange angles. Holes 1, and 7-18 are more resort-type and open. So the place feels like two different courses. The majority of the holes are uninteresting and didn't seem to present much interesting re: strategy decisions (at least on our first time playing there). Cost is 2x what it is worth, which is Vegas pricing I guess. I won't play here again as there are better options at equivalent price points. Employees were all very friendly. read more

It was my first time golfing, and we decided to try Rio Secco course as we heard many positives about the course. Well let's start with the obvious - the scenic views of cityscape (Strip views), the gorgeous architecture (custom homes and mansions), the mixed terrain of the course, and being up close to the natural wildlife (we spotted bunnies, quail and desert birds). The staff was attentive, facility immaculate, and the bratwurst on pretzel bread was delicious (see pic). Truly a top tier golf course and well worth the time spent here (avg 5 hours)! read more

For one of the best strip views of Las Vegas, from a golf course- the Rio Secco is both a great and challenging golf course and has great views. Sitting in the Seven Hills area, there are spectacular houses lining the course. Their clubhouse and facilities are great. Driving range, putting greens and snack bar are all very nice. They of course have a drink/snack cart that comes around as well. Caddies are not mandatory here. The staff were all friendly, and even for early October the course was in good condition! read more

Called 35 hours ahead of my tee-time reservation telling them I had come down with a severe case of gout in my right foot, and if they could assist me in cancelling my tee-time (single player). They told me that they couldn't do it without charging me 75% fare, which is ridiculous. So I limped out to the golf course and decided to try and get my money's worth even though I could hardly walk. I brought my wife to ride-along and they gouged me $75 for a rider's fee. These people don't care about customer service whatsoever and only care about profit and money. The course itself isn't worth the money either. Stay away from this place. I've been waiting a long time to play RS and I'm so glad I did and shared it with some close friends. Bag drop was perfect, pro shop was friendly and explained the way things work, snack bar made a solid drink and the cart girl was friendly and quick to get us back to playing golf to which is why we were there. The course was fantastic and the elevations were dramatic and beautiful. Fairways and greens were top notch. True rolls and fair landing areas, RS had it all. Kudos Team! read more

Played this course on Wednesday early morning. First time playing this course and it was challenging but not overtly difficult. Fairways are a little narrow and the greens were in good condition. Staff was friendly and pro shop told us about famous people who live along the course. Pace of play was good and was able to finish in less than 4:30. If given the chance, I would play here again. read more

I've played three other courses in the last week in celebration of my birthday, with prices ranging from $25 to $80, and this course left me with nothing to be desired! As a Vegas resident I was embarrassed to have had my two visiting friends from out of town pay $150 each to play what used to be a very nice course. Yes we created a fun time, and we paid the friendly cart girl nicely, however the condition of the course was hands down the worst. Just drive by and take a look! Maybe things will change in the future but for now unless you can play this course for $40 or less, you will feel much better by treating yourself to another course! while on vacation played this course. . beautiful views and course is oretty. It ended there by hold #3. Over $400 for pair and then this. the course pro shop management is lacking. we barely got in 9 holes in 3 hours due to back up. and we typically play under 2 hrs. we were 25 minutes behind lace by hole 3, and two foursomes in front were waiting. we learn there was a group of 30 that went off at 10am. and nobody forced their pace. not only was adam Handren argumentative when we stopped after 9, he didn't care. or appeared that he didnt. the line was several deep demanding refunds.last - our group came close to being hit twice by foursome behind us. this was reported while on course and nothing was done. there are way too many options in Vegas. please don't waste your money. edward B Pitoniak - CEO should take a hard look at their course management division. This is a tough course! Not for a Beginner. Location: Seven Hills... set amidst the rich and shameless mansions Service: Top Notch Layout / Topography: elevation changes, dog legs and fairways that are along the canyon walls... a couple of water holes I'm by no means a good golfer, but I like a challenge. Yes....this course can be frustrating if you are not a straight hitter off the tee. Thankfully, I hit it straight 90% of the time so I can see my ball on the fairway or find it on the 1st cut. It is immaculately cared for. #12 is my favorite. Probably because (for some odd reason) I either par or birdie that hole... I don't know why... it should be a scary hole for me because you have to clear a waste area and hit the green otherwise you have a hell of chip onto the green. Anyways... it's that hole that keeps me coming back for more. #17 and #18 are really LONG and wide ... so grip it and rip it! The view from #18 is spectacular!! The whole LV valley is right before you. The Restaurant is good too... I like that the bar area is low and has regular chairs and not bar stools. There are several TVs and you can catch up on the golf channel or whatever you want to watch while you eat. (If there isn't a crowd they will change the channel to your choice.) Menu is varied and tasty. I've tried their salads and sandwiches... all very good. read more

Possibly one of the most difficult courses to play in Las Vegas. Especially from the back tees. Now it's a desert course but there really are no hazard nor waste areas where you can play your if you misplay your tee shot. So before you come to Rio Secco, get that long game in synch. You'll need especially for the seventh hole. One will notice the beautiful views of Las Vegas, or the gigantic, or maybe the nice yardage guide and divot tool in your cart, or the spacious clubhouse, or the sweet range or that across the range is the Butch Harmon Golf School. Harmon, formerly the swing coach of Tiger Woods, is the biggest name golf instruction, now teaching Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott. Besides all that, one thing you WILL notice is the moment you step on the practice and you take that Scotty Cameron putter back. And you tap that little golf ball forward for that simple 8 footer and notice that the ball is past the ball 16 feet. Yes, the legend is true, these greens are fast! They are fast, fast. And every putt breaks towards the city. A fun yet real challenging course, they have plenty of different tees for different skill levels. They have some of the most beautiful holes in the city that are cut into the granite formations and monoliths in the development. The second hole an all downhill, dogleg right is an extremely challenging but picturesque holes on the course. But the signature seventh is played in the middle of a canyon and ends in an amphitheatre of rocks. Beautiful hole. Now if you are a guest of the Rio hotel, I think you can get limo service all the way to Rio Secco, which is about 20 minutes away in Henderson. That maybe the case for all Harrahs casinos though. Now, if you're a frequent player at said casinos, you may get discount and/or comps to play at Rio Secco. It's a pricey place to play, but it definitely worth it. read more

Rio is a tough course to rate. It's a 3 star layout and 4 star fairway/rough conditions. 5 star condition greens. But 1 star condition bunkers. But it's overpriced for what it is and tries to justify that just price just because Butch Harmon has teaching facilities there. So 3 stars seems fair. read more

Beautiful golf course and home of Butch Harmon Golf School (Tiger Woods former golf coach). As a golfer and a local of Las Vegas, I would definitely recommend this course as a must play. You get beautiful views of the Las Vegas strip. A desert course located in a valley with some multi million dollar homes surrounding both sides of the fairway. The course is a long course. Some holes were difficult with desert hazards. The only thing that disappointed me was the snack bar after hole #9. We ordered fries from the golf cart at hole #7. When we arrived at the snack bar the server did received the order so it was not even ready. Then when we went to pay for some snacks, the employee said her card machine has not been working. It was 11 am. To me if my card machine was not working in the morning you should you try to have someone fix it. People come and pay for the experience so everything needs to be working. If it wasn't for this hiccup I would have rated my experience as a 5 star. The course did meet up to the hype. read more
