Sergis is two places packed into a shop. It is a small store, where you find unusual food, and it's a small cafe/ restaurant based upstairs. The shop is brilliant, food that you wouldn't find anywhere else in the area, but is a tad expensive, but in my opinion is worth the cost. The service is delightful, and after using a couple of times, you're treated like a regular, and a friend.
When going upstairs to the cafe, one thing you may notice is the awards that the chef has, and once receiving the food you'll see why. You won't find anything as good as this is Spalding for a lunch time, it's a shame this guy doesn't open a restaurant during the night, because he'll be packed out every night! The actual cafe/ restaurant is a lovely place to sit, if not a bit cramped, you can't help think that a restaurant has been crammed into this small space, but still forgettable. Furthermore, I know it's silly, but the touch of soft music in the background is executed brilliantly, other places to dine cane get it so wrong.
When I started giving reviews on this site I said to myself It'll have to be PERFECT to get 5 stars and this was SO close (the closest I've got so far). However, just the few niggles such as the costs, and the size of the cafe gives this a 4 star, but If I had the chance I would give it 4.8! read more
